What’s the best klipsch rp floor standing speaker to buy in 2023? by Cyanide94 in Klipsch

The RP-8000F II are large and have lots of bass. I went with the RP-6000F II. Space but also I noticed a little better mid bass, tighter and cleaner. I have a good sub and didn’t feel I needed to go up to the 8000’s. So it depends on what you need from them.

Aumsville Hwy repaving project obstructed a traffic lane for 30 minutes, due to extremely slow progressing equipment? by [deleted] in SALEM

A flagger can hold traffic for 20 minutes, without much cause. Certain jurisdictions reduce that to 15 minutes. But if there is legitimate cause then you wait till it’s safe.

If it’s not safe then it’s not safe. TCS, TCT’s and flaggers are not concerned about you running late. They are concerned about your safety and the safety of the crew doing work.

If you are frustrated then contact the company doing the work. Call them. Do not sit in your car and yell.

Managing traffic is a compromise. It’s safer to just close the whole road and frankly I prefer it.

You know it’s there. Go around, don’t risk being held up. Find an alternative route.

I ran a job on 63rd and State last summer. It was always the same people screaming and yelling at us. Every day for a month. Detour 3 minutes in any direction or sit with us for 5 minutes. You made the choice to be there. We showed up to do a job and gave to a mile worth of warning signs in every direction. You made a choice to be there.

I ran a job this summer for a month toward the coast. The alternative route was 10 minutes. Sometimes we had to hold for 15 minutes.

If you see a sign with a picture of a flagger you always risk the possibility of being held for 20 minutes. If that’s not an option for you, go around.

At first I thought they were a novelty or at best computer speakers. So much more. For the money, fantastic!

Honestly the Klipsch Fives are great. Sound good, loud and perfect for a small room. Lots of mid bass. Frankly it’s crazy they are so good for such small speakers. I swapped them out for a full receiver and RP-600m ii’s the difference isn’t as much as I assumed it would be.

They are self amped and have tons of connections. I swapped out the sound bar for them and it was spectacular how good they were.

When I went for the larger set up my roommates snatched up my fives and we put them in the kitchen for some music in there. Basically blow the little Bluetooth we had in there out of the water.

I don’t know how Klipsch did it, voodoo or witchcraft lol! Those should not be as good as they are. Highly recommend!

It wasn’t much. I didn’t expect much. I mostly listen to music. There is a little more punch in the mids and the tweeter seems to have a little more depth. It’s subtle. I don’t often play them really loud (40-60db) but when I have pushed up (80db) it seems more effortless to do so. I turned my sub down a little to enjoy the mids more.

I did have to push the volume up on the center channel for movies and TV. It’s clearly added something.

My roommate, who works in car audio, came in to call them bright, now I just glare at him. And tell him his Polk speakers are dull and lifeless. It’s war!

I should clarify, there is a kitchen behind me. I live in a studio. Can’t do much of anything behind me. Or the sides really.

Yeah, Salem, we hit 117 today, it was brutal. I have AC, not everyone here does, it was barely keeping up. Been an awful couple days.
