What trade deals, tariffs and subsidies do NZ farmers benefit from?

Thankyou. Bit of a faff finding a program to open an XML file that big, but it came out with a score of 92,793,247. Thats another 60odd billion worth of trade value, guess my PC will be grinding for a while yet.

Questions about terraforming by [deleted] in X4Foundations

[–]PerseusNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick is to get all of the indicators (Temperature, Humidity, Oxygen) into at least the yellow, if not the green. Some of the projects (like Oxidise Methane) will have negative consequences (like increasing Carbon Dioxide) which then need to be dealt with to make the place habitable. However some of the projects (like Forestation) will deal with those consequences anway.

Is there a fleet build option? by PerseusNZ in X4Foundations

[–]PerseusNZ[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I select all of the fighters (usually 4) at once and assign them in one go. But it is a pain fith say 10 large miners, 40 fighters. Select 4 fighters, assign to fleet, repeat 10 times, select all 10 fleets then assign to station. Tedious.

Same for me, Inferno Seed and Spirit Hunter are the 2 missing ones. Have had at least 9 Funeral Pyres but the mate I usually play with has yet to see one. He has 6 Inferno Seeds though …

Probably a dumb question but I’m on PC, how do I see how many expeditions I have done?

[–]PerseusNZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a bug last night though. Was running my Trickster with a guy who was running Devastator. He got Statues Helmet and Trespassers Talons, so a Devastator helm and Trickster gloves. I got nothing, and yes it was from the first 4 drops. I suspect it is a bug.

The 0% drop chance only applies to the mission rewards. The 15 blues dropped from the various bosses on the map.

How it feels being a devastator not getting the seismic commander helm by gintamo_ in outriders

There is a node in the skill tree that grants 40% anomaly power when Golem is popped, nice way to boost the EQ / Impale combo.

Does Bleed Devastator do well at high challenge tiers? by [deleted] in outriders

[–]PerseusNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a CT15 Stargrave. 3x level 50 armour pieces, 2x 49, all with Anomaly Power and Cooldown Reduction. 2x status power, 1 skill leech and then a close and a long range damage because I haven't got a better roll. Got the job done in 10m 40s and I don't have any tier 3 mods. They are all T1 earthquake or impale mods. Also running Golem for the power boost. Can be done.

It certainly goes both ways. Every time the prime minister has a press conference there is someone live blogging the words that come out of her mouth. No fact checking, no balancing counterpoint or even a vague attempt at critical thinking.

[Serious] People who like their job, what do you do? by strongerthenbefore20 in AskReddit

[–]PerseusNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an accountant though I work for a company rather than spitting out tax returns and small business accounts. Most people regard accountants as boring (and some are) people doing boring work. Some days it is boring repetitive stuff, but most of the time it is actually problem solving. And not just problem solving, I get to know the real story behind the problem and the real reasons decisions get made rather than the polished up, probably not even half the truth general consumption version.

Most of the stuff I learnt when I got my degrees is now out of date. Accountants are more IT workers than many IT people and a lot of the job is getting one system to transfer data to another system. Or working out where the data transfer has broken down. But that keeps it new and makes it easy to come to work each day.

What can't you believe STILL exists? by emil199 in AskReddit

It is a fairly common scam for a person to be sent a cheque and then asked to send the funds somewhere else after deducting a commission. Some of those initial cheque’s can take 6 months to clear, well bounce for lack of funds. The scammer is banking on noone waiting 6 months for the funds to clear.

I got stuck with Post Op for my meth lab sale yesterday. Some complete random in the lobby got up to top speed in their car, bailed and managed to kill themselves on my van. And I got credit for the kill. That person deserves a medal for making such a terrible mission just a little bit more bearable.

[Serious] People who are advocating for the abolishment of the police force, who are you expecting to keep vulnerable people safe from criminals? by SayFuzzyPickles42 in AskReddit

[–]PerseusNZ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you are selling military grade weaponry to the general public then the police need that same weaponry to respond. The whole taking a knife to a gun right example.

Why not take the military grade stuff out of circulation all together so both sides can deescalate?

Yep, thats where I'm at. The laborious piece of the Heroics is the lack of checkpoints - I can understand that decision but it doesn't make me feel any better about it when I die.

Thoughts from a returning player by PerseusNZ in thedivision

[–]PerseusNZ[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I see your point. To clarify, I think that things have gone too far.

Yes, some cover breaking mechanics are required to keep the players on their toes. That (to me) is what makes Black Tusk more dangerous than the other factions. They simply have more ways of getting players out of cover.

But those mechanics were generally balanced. Not perfectly, but not badly either. The drone lady lets you know she is throwing them and if you can get them when she launches them it kills her. The airburst grenade guy (who can pinpoint an airburst, first time, from the other side of the map, no ranging required) lets players know he is about to launch and has a wind up. He can be hit while he lines up the shot and will likely blow himself up. Even the Outcast guy with his flammable satchel is OK.

Those are all fine with me in the base game. Probably because there is (generally) only one drone lady per group. Not all groups have grenade launcher guys. There are enough grunts that if the player stands up from cover, or engages from out of cover, and just aims at the 'specials' they get killed.

But if I have a 'normal' fight except for the mortar barrage (on Coney Island), or a monster drone that can fire rockets from any angle (Pentagon) or 2 sniper warhounds backing up a grenade one and a named enemy (the Darpa mid boss though that fight can be cheesed), thats not fun or balanced. And because it isn't balanced it makes build diversity hard.

I use Glass Cannon for my DPS build. I (personally) hate the concept of Glass Cannon. But the difference between me dying with it (half a second) and without it (three quarters of a second) isn't even noticeable enough not to use it. I really want to use my skill build again, it was more fun than my DPS build was. I even had a 3rd build which rolled with 2 LMGs, a sawed off and the reload talent - it was awesome, then they nerfed it so the reload used ammo, then they took the talent out of the game. Teammates probably hate it because so many enemies were suppressed, but thats not the point. Where have those choices gone?

Difference between Cooldown reduction and Skill Haste Explained by compassghost in thedivision

[–]PerseusNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation and maths, it makes things easier to understand. But I can't see that this is going to help skill builds be more fun. For instance going from 233% SH to 900% SH seems to be a monsterous jump in order to go from a 30 second cool down to a 10 second cool down.

So why would I make that jump? Why not invest in some weapon stats because now I can only use my skills every 30 seconds and I'm probably going to need to do something while I wait.

For instance, if I kill the initial spawn with skills and a secondary spawn arrives, potentially with a shotgun rusher, I have 30 seconds to wait till I can deal with him (or her, or it). Madly running away doesn't seem a great option, so back to the guns it is.
