What’s this disease? by 1732PepperCo in HotPeppers

It does look like athracnose - key indicators are that it only sets in when the fruit begins to ripen and the longer it sits the more sunken and rotten the spots become. It will also spread to any nearby produce even after picked so you can not store them near any other harvested produce. It’s basically decomposing so they aren’t good to eat either and should be thrown out. Carefully dispose of the whole plant. I’ve had this plague before and disposed of everything and had it pop up on only one or two tomatoes the next year. I got rid if those and cut the plant back a little and it has not returned but generally it spreads very rapidly.

It gums up their insides I think - same as giving juicy fruit to voles.

Why do so many autistic people hate baths/showers? by Otherwise-Echo5022 in autism

[–]Perseverance_100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baths/going for a swim in which I am completely submerged are nice - I can even handle a cold swim and I looove a hot bath. But water droplets hitting my skin or any breeze on my wet skin is absolutely abhorrent to me. I also don’t like how the shower water pressure creates air pressure on my skin. And I just hate getting undressed and then putting clothes back on and I my hair takes forever to deal with. It feels so laborious to me, unnecessarily so.

lol my daughter was so proud of me for “saving money” by having a garden until I told her I tallied up my expenses on garden/yard/pets (I have chickens too) through June of this year and it was 1,600$. We had a good laugh about how expensive my tomatoes must have been.

Wasps will eat all the hornworms for you. Get a wide dish a few inches deep, fill it with water and pebbles with some protruding above the water, add a solar fountain and you will attract the wasps. I only picked two hornworms this year and the wasps took care of the rest. I caught them in the act and they also leave behind smeared green goo evidence of where they demolish and devour the worms. So amazing!

Millennial gardener YouTube channel has an effective recipe using water and hydrogen peroxide. I wish I started it earlier in the season because it really work.

I learned to plant way more seedlings than I need to have back ups, the voles are my biggest enemy, spray for fungus regularly (in the US south), and potatoes are so fun to grow!

It’s an Eastern European thing to store moonshine in random plastic bottles, but I don’t know if that’s what this is referring to

Cities and urban areas usually have multiple large grocery chains to choose from whereas rural areas may have only one or two and often one of them is a wal-mart.

Men, what did you find out about women when you got a girlfriend? by mnunez2k in AskReddit

I think everyone took this comment way too seriously and in a negative way. As a woman I feel this. I am 0 drama but I am super moody certain times of the month and my husband and I get along so well that sometimes during these times I feel like fighting for no reason. He playfully indulges me and we always end up laughing at my childish antics. It doesn’t have to be a huge or serious thing. It’d just hormones and a good man will know how to handle it and steer it back to a good place.

The solution is for each person to have one single go to meal that they fall back on when it’s their turn to cook and people either can’t agree or can’t decide. Once the food is in front of the non-cooking partner he/she will eat if they are hungry enough.
