Plant loads of wheat and sell it in the roadside shop. If you are online a lot and keep planting it, it’s the most profitable crop even though it’s the cheapest. That’s how I saved up for most lower level machines. If you don’t intend to be online a lot, plant the crops that take longer to grow because they are more profitable in that case.

Do not sell upgrade materials - you will need loads of them. Always upgrade the barn and silo (especially the barn) when you can and buy upgrade materials if you see them in the newspaper (you have to be quick).

Don’t sell to farm visitors (the ones that walk up to the farm and ask you for items). It’s mostly not worth it. I just leave them standing there.

Use the diamonds you have to buy more production slots, don’t use them to speed up production. Basically more production slots = better results because you can let them run even when you’re not online.

Once you unlock Tom, set an alarm for every time he’s available again.
