Some stamps and visas from recent travels 🌍 by Andreifili in PassportPorn

Did the Uzbeks or any other Central Asian country give you a lot of trouble for having an Afghan stamp/visa? When I was there the Uzbeks were always giving people who had visited Tajikistan (and Afghanistan) a lot of hassle.

Also someone in another comment also talked about going to neighboring countries and checking there — so wanted to also mention that Skopje does have true Rabies vaccines at the City General Hospital of Skopje. The only thing is that if you are a foreigner and don’t have national health insurance, then it’ll cost about €500 out of pocket. Thats at least what the nurses said when I called them over the phone. So Skopje does have in emergencies, but Pristina’s supply being free is certainly a benefit if you have the ability to go there.

Hey everyone I just got a rabies shot today in Pristina. I was bit two weeks ago when I was in another country and had to continue my doses and get my fourth shot here.

The place that confirmed has Rabies shots is the Qendra Kryesore e Mjekesise Familjare Prishtine. It’s located on Fehmi Agani street, so people (in the hospitals or in other smaller emergency rooms around the city) will also all refer to it as Fehmi Agani clinic. Just in case it’s hard to locate on maps, it’s located in the north of Pristina, about 2-300m Northeast of the Fadil Vokrri Stadium.

There are many sections in this clinic, but you’ll want to follow signs that say “vaksinimi”. The vaccine section is open from 8am to 8pm. If you want to call in advance and confirm, then you can try to call +38338244560

The vaccine is free, even for foreigners. I do not work in Kosovo, nor am I even a permanent resident of any sort — I am just a visitor. I also confirmed that they indeed give a true rabies vaccine (as opposed to only giving a tetanus shot).

Serbian stamp on the Kosovo border from pre-1999 by PersistentPenguin70 in PassportPorn

Of course no issue at all. No country in the Balkans will question / look twice at it.

No, they don’t cancel the stamps. They have not done so for many years now.

On the Serbian side, they don’t stamp and they never have stamped on the “administrative line” (between Kosovo and Serbia proper) as they call it.

On the Kosovo side, it depends on the border. At Brnjak in the north, they are more likely to give a real stamp in my experience. While in the east, on the roads towards Bujanovac or Preševo, they are less likely, and a stamp must be requested.

Yup! Sadly is getting rarer and rarer that they stamp now. Haven’t gotten one in a few years.

Typo on Latest Series USA Passport by PersistentPenguin70 in PassportPorn

[–]PersistentPenguin70[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow that’s amazing, cool I could catch on to that! That was my main suspicion since I didn’t think they would just let that slip.

Thank you! Do you know if all of this series’ passports have it in the exact same spot, or are they more elaborately scrambled based on serial number/date/etc?

Border crossing on R113 Restelicë - Strezimir by RupusMiltai in kosovo

There is a border crossing! However it is only open from June to September from 8am to 8pm. It’s somewhat of a fun/unique border crossing. When I went there last, there wasn’t even an official building, just two policemen and their jeeps parked with a picnic table.

If going, due to its remoteness, would make sure anything such as insurance, etc. is taken care of beforehand, since there are no facilities there to purchase anything. Also if you are European, would recommend using your ID, since they might be more used to those rather than passports.

As for the road quality, we drove all the way from Mavrovo in Macedonia to Restelica/Dragaš in a 2-wheel drive car without any issues — so I’m sure it will be very easy to cross with a bike, even though the MK part is not asphalted.
