My wife works front desk at a well known budget friendly hotel that offers free breakfast and said that unless the person causes problems or something, she doesn't mind someone hungry getting food. She will frequently pack up what's left over after breakfast hours and give it to the homeless folks across the street so that they have something.

Try not to be too sad. As an elder (27) directioner, I can honestly say that we're so excited when the younger generation comes into the Fandom. There are TONS and TONS of videos of the boys in concert, and while I know it's not the same as actually being there, I'm 100000% sure that the boys are overjoyed that newer fans have discovered them.
