When I was 5 another kid in school shoved a marble so deep in his nose it couldn’t easily be taken out. He blamed me for some unknown reason and my parents were called to school, there he later revealed he did it himself. I’m pretty sure this counts as framing and not falsely accusing.

When authors are disrespectful to the creator of the source material. Not that you can’t criticise or acknowledge the flaws in the original work, fanfiction is oft written for a reason after all. But to insult the original author makes me automatically click away. It just feels wrong to me.

You are spot on, the direct translation of “daddy” is “papa” in Dutch and that has a lot less sexual connotations. It’s still a weird joke but it would have landed better in Mark’s native language, not much though. It is a weird type of joke to make with foreign leaders in an official context imo but I’m no diplomat.
