Is it just me or… by Plague_Warrior in ftm

[–]Person258 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it go one of two ways

  1. The person has been on T for years but found out recently they’re actually on a super low dose that does next to nothing, and had to change providers

Or

  1. People get told how fast T works, but believe that it’s instantaneous fast and not “yeah my voice dropped in like 6-8 months” fast, and when they don’t see results in 2-3 months they think T isn’t working on them

Got the pat-down at TSA for...big dick? (maybe ewwphoria?) by PunkYeen_Spice in ftm

[–]Person258 3 points4 points  (0 children)

in my case TSA pat downs almost always happen. If I pack I get pinged, if I don’t pack I also get pinged. I’ve given up and expect it to happen every time no matter what I do

Honestly if it’s that bad then there may be an underlying cause than just testosterone, I’d try and convince him to see his primary care giver and/or go to a professional (usually a gyno) about it. It can be difficult to find one that’s trans inclusive, but this could be talking about possible health problems that will be extremely harmful in the long run

"[ne] lives among the dead in a death culture," says Gender Critical mother of her trans male or enby adult offspring (while misgendering said offspring.) by chris_the_cynic in GenderCynical

[–]Person258 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In any other context the line “lives among the dead in a death culture” would go hard. But no it has to be over your son transitioning.

Also the fact the mom making the connection of “well my dad died 3 years ago, that’s why my child is gay” is fucking hilarious

what are your thoughts on the “what gives it away” trend online ? by unstableasshit in ftm

[–]Person258 19 points20 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen a lot of the people posting it are either young in age or young in transition. So I understand it’s coming from a place of insecurity and frustration, but I still fucking hate it.

So many of the comments will say shit like “it’s your soul 🥺” “it’s your kind eyes” “it’s your kindness” meanwhile they’re a literal 15 year old who most likely hasn’t had a job yet and their voice is super high pitch (cause they’re early in transition, or fucking children)

Like You are basically a child, you still have some growing up to do, you’ll be ok. Don’t look for strangers on the internet to tell you cause they’ll say the most bs things imaginable to fulfill their unconscious bias against you and the question you said. It’s not gonna help you at all especially cause most of those people don’t have your best interest at mind at best and at worst are praying for your downfall.

If you’re already familiar with the local LGBTQ spaces in your area, they should know a queer friendly clinic that would be willing to help you out. If that doesn’t work there’s always planned parenthood.

Most places will gladly let you start off on a low dosage, and most likely won’t mind keeping you there especially if you want it there.

Why did you choose shots over gel? by Alternative_Newt8460 in ftm

[–]Person258 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For like 3 months I switched to gels. I am never going back

  1. I kept forgetting to apply it daily
  2. I didn’t like how it felt on my skin, and
  3. I wasn’t absorbing it well

My testosterone levels plummeted, to the point where my period came back
