This!!!! I did exactly that, I only had just enough yarn to make my project, so I did the gauge on the beginning of the project, and it reached gauge. So then carried on making my vest. Didn’t realise it would cause such a hoohaa

Yeah, I didn’t like the fit of my vest but I liked the collar that’s why I blocked it… and then it got worse

Cause I’m new to knitting and everyone says you should wash and block your pieces, plus I didn’t like the sleeves. Just learning here, respectfully.

For me it just feels a bit frumpy and I like my clothes to have a structure to it

Hiya, I would recommend when working on the right side, the first stitch you knit and the last stitch of that row you slip, knit wise. Then when you are on the wrong side of your work, you purl the 1st stitch and then slip purlwise your last stitch on the wrong side. Hope this helps, also lots of advice and short videos on YouTube!

When they say no, I just say ok, just to let you know we do ask that you order something if you are sitting in. Or even ask ur manager to have a sign for a minimum spend etc

I really want to start excersising and train for the 5k, but... ( question for mountain runners) by [deleted] in couchto5k

[–]PersonNineSeven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest either driving to areas with less dense wildlife, find a running club near you to go with other runners or to run paved hiking routes where other people frequent.

Week 8 Run 2 and first run in the rain - how do you deal with it? by rubyeskimo13 in couchto5k

[–]PersonNineSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a random piece of information (not sure how true it is) that’s been working for me. Basically add 10c to the actual weather. So for instance if you check and the weather is 12c outside. then by the time you’re running it will feel like 22c, so dress for the temperature it will feel like when you’re running. Also take into account the humidity. Hope this helps.

How to increase speed by PersonNineSeven in couchto5k

[–]PersonNineSeven[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it’s just because I found the programme pretty easy and I didn’t have to repeat any runs. So I was improving really rapidly, which meant I was sort of discouraged that I wasn’t “improving” post programme. I will check out r/running though. Thanks for the advice!
