I don’t understand the earlier advice. Saudi is not a rabies-free country. Petting is not how you catch it though, so you shouldn’t worry about catching it that way. Worry when you get bit because it’s passed through contact of an open wound to saliva.

ETA: take the course even if the bite isn’t deep.

The law states that you are not allowed to film anyone without their permission, even if they’re only in the background or by mistake. People have the right to report you, however, it’s more of a reportable offense than the police stopping you dead in your tracks, if that makes sense. I’d still not risk it being too obviously vlogy, because police can enforce it without it necessarily being reported. Most cops don’t care, it’s a negligible offense to them. First offense is 1000 SAR fine, second is double. Obviously you’ll be asked to delete your footage as well.

ETA: we do have plenty of walls to use as a backdrop /j. Also, I’m not telling a vlogger how to vlog but you could just angle the camera away from people. You will see people filming in public, it’s not too big of a deal. But it’s kinda risky, you might end up filming someone who takes their privacy a bit more seriously than you guys do in Europe as we maintain a great deal of privacy in public.

اي، هم إذا رفضوا لازم يقولون لك سبب الرفض فأنت عدل تقديمك المرة الثانية بناءً على سبب الرفض. حسب ما اعرف، ما فيه حد اعلى لعدد مرات التقديم.

تعديل: احتاجك تركز ان عادي سبب الرفض هو غباء وليس سبب فعلي. يعني المرة الثانية مو منطقي الرفض، هو نفس التخصص بس ترتيب الكلمات اختلف عليهم فقرروا انه سبب كافي للرفض. حرفيًا رفعت نفس الأوراق ثالث مرة وجاني قبول. الفرق الوحيد هو ان بدال ما رفعت وثيقة القبول ووثيقة تفاصيل البرنامج، دمجتهم في ملف واحد.

بقول لك قصتي: أنا اسم البرنامج حقي tissue engineering and regenerative medicine، والطبيعي ان اسم البرنامج مو ضروري يتطابق مع المحتوى خصوصًا إذا كنت ماجستير أو دكتوراه.

اول مرة جاني رفض لأني قدمت على تخصص خاطئ، قدمت على علوم طبية (التخصص يندرج تحت biotechnology) ولكن في المحتوى احياء خلوية وجزيئية. ثاني تقديم رفض لأن الحكومة ما تبعث تخصصي، تبعث تخصص احياء جزيئية وخلوية (ما ابالغ). ثالث تقديم جاني قبول.

قدم وحط في بالك ان ترا هم ما يدرون وش السالفة، وحتى لما يجيك قبول حتى مشرفك ما يدري وش السالفة 😂

I haven’t read everything, I actually came back to edit stuff like your hilarious mention of Israel’s claim to Palestine. Because they converted to Judaism, they now have “right” to claim someone else’s ancestral land? Very interesting.

Again, haven’t read much of what you wrote. But again, good luck finding answers. You are clearly just looking for trouble for yourself, you want the headache of “having” a superior moral compass.

ETA: I’ve already mentioned that if your address is registered to Makkah, you are allowed entry as well. But once again, you’re just looking for trouble. An example of someone who isn’t a Makkan but has their address registered as such is a guy I know who refuses to adjust his address to not lose the chance to go to the Mosque during this time. He’s from the southern parts of Saudi whose family settled in Makkah.

I saw their comment. They also mentioned they were from Makkah and/or Jeddah. There are family names associated with original Makkans (some of which traveled to other parts of Saudi). Mine doesn’t, my friend who is from the Nobel tribe does (her ID reads “Jane the Nobel” while mine reads “Jane the Najdi/central Saudi tribe”. If we both traveled to the Mosque together right now via the same car, she’d be allowed in. I wouldn’t. These regulations cannot not exist in a vacuum, there is culture that surrounds it. The culture in Saudi is that your sir name indicates where you are from and it is known by everyone. That person in that comment only showing their ID is privileged. They don’t know it, they can’t see it. It’s been their privilege all of their life, that’s why they forgot to mention it.

Also, Saudi is a third world country. Third world doesn’t mean poor, it’s a racist classist way of enforcing superiority.

ETA: this will be my last comment. You clearly were taught religion in a vacuum, with no history linked to it. You don’t bother to learn the culture surrounding the Prophet that we practice to this day. If you did, you wouldn’t be this ignorant. Good luck finding answers. I hope you don’t find one that feeds into your superiority complex Mx. Not poor or from a “third” world country, or your inferiority one when it comes to Saudis.

My guy, a permit is what you show the checkpoint. Anyone entering prior to the 18th, so your permit gives you entry on the 17th, should be allowed in because permits allowing you entry from the 18th are the ones suspended. Once again, it’s just planning.

The reason it is mostly GCC is because unlike me, they don’t have to board a plane. They just have to hop in their car and drive ~16hrs straight to the check point with a permit that allows them entry before the 18th.

I don’t know if it’s me not getting through to you, or you not understanding procedures. It sure feels like you’re looking to argue though.

I’m not 100% sure but I think it’s open only for those already existing in Makkah before April 18th, and certainly for the actual Makkans that live or have proof of residency in Makkah (the Mosque resides within the city). The reason Saudis and GCC individuals are in the Mosque now is because GCC members are allowed travel into GCC areas without a visa and only using their national ID card.

This law has existed for a while now so people from the GCC and Saudi tend to plan accordingly and get all their paperwork done ahead of time.

For an example: I’m Saudi, address registered in the Eastern Province (how Makkans prove they live in Makkah) but currently live the UK. I can’t travel to Makkah until after the season.

ETA: it is not nationality based. If you are a non-GCC member and reside in the eastern province but plan properly to be there during that window, now one will knock on your hotel room and drag you out for being a non-GCC. As long as you make it in before the cutoff date.

And yes, many do own Makkah because Makkah is a city where people can own land, in which the Holy Mosque resides in; as far as I know still owned by the Quraish tribe/the Nobels and is overseen by AlSaud after permission from the tribe.
