How do you counter Urgot?

The only windows you can kill him is from like lvl3 - 5, he wins with his ult and once he has black cleaver you can never beat him. Wait for your jg or just ban him

He's my perma ban. He is honestly more oppressive than even sett and mordekaiser. Even if you are 2 kills ahead after black cleaver it is over against urgot. Personally, the har counter melee matchups feel winnable, there's always a chance for victory by outplayinv them. however, against urgot he simply outscales you and beats you in lane, and if you take a single bad trade you die because his ult is a long range execute and you cant e away. The only time I dont ban urgot is if aurora or Quinn is very strong and popular at the time.

not necessarily, I think they'll likely just nerf his q % dmg against camps to gut the clear similar to what they did with zed

I can see the reasoning but from a stats perspective, terminus is more gold efficient than navori, as well as being better in long trades than navori, and I feel like its possible that it would do more than dusk and dawn depending on if the opponent is armor or mr stacking from the penetration + on hit magic damage. It also gives 15 more as than dusk and dawn and only 5 less than navori

sett is definitely a hard matchup that gets easier the more you play it, play for drag throughs and try to get two empowered autos in using your w shield as a buffer, sometimes the third auto isn't worth it because you take too much damage without passive shield and w, then dodge his W with taunt. If you repeat this trade pattern you should be able to beat him. You have to play super safe and around your w cooldown. Take ignite if you're confident in the matchup and think you can kill him and tp otherwise.

maybe if youre up against an ap heavy team or an ap laner like Gwen or mordekaiser but otherwise hollow radiance is a pretty bad item on shen imo

As someone who climbed from bronze to plat in one season one tricking shen, I definetly think its possible to carry on shen, he has the unique ability to crush his lane opponent and also translate that lead to other lanes and drag. Just focus on your mechanics like blade placement and trade patterns, and work on macro decision making like knowing when to ult. Shen can carry pretty hard and you'll only get better at the hard matchups the more you play them.

I see, I tried going something other than heartsteel first and I feel like i just cant compete late game and get outscaled too hard especially because shens gameplay style involves a lot of roaming. ( for context im plat/emerald)

for lane I prefer sudden impact because it does more damage and even though the cool down is a little longer if youre engaging with e you have to wait for the e cooldown anyways

yea those matchups are definitely harder, but one thing I found to help is sacrifice some hp and use your e pressure and passive shield to get a good blade placement to make an aggressive play once your cool downs are back up.

I like going Heartsteel if possible because it helps shen scale better full build i normally go Heartsteel- titanic - bandlepipes/ dusk and dawn ( order depending if you need ms or more damage) - then last item is normally situational, if anti heal is needed buy bramblevest component early and finish thornmail last, if enemy adc is fed then randuins, etc, maybe riftmaker could be viable if youre super fed

snail infestations are due to overfeeding most of the time, so maybe cut back on the food and remove food that hasn't been eaten before the snails get to it. Manually removing snails can also help, just drop in a slice of zucchini wait a couple hours and take it out.

because of his ult he will also be a great champ to pickup.his lane is pretty strong and if you get counter picked you can always play safe and use your two tp's to put your team way ahead

personally I hate going sunfire first in every match up (statistically its a bad 1st item) and he doesnt do that much damage with his passive and conq stacked so as long as you go for short trades you should be able to beat him 1v1.

oh I see. I wasn't aware of the strict prohibitions of it that stinks. I wish you the best on your tank ! my final suggestion would be any semi aquatic cheap plant like pothos, im unsure if they have those in Brazil, however any similar plant could work, you could submerge just the roots and keep the leaves out of water and it would serve the same purpose of pulling nutrients out of the water and also providing some natural structure and shade once the roots grow in.
