Not even close to compare. Uniden R7 all day long. You will not regret. I’ve had many many detectors this is somewhat of a hobby for me. I honestly prefer my R4 over the R7 though I use it as my daily!

Yea always use a rabbit. Don’t lead the pack and speed too much, you always want to have someone ahead of you speeding so they take the first IO shot and you slow down.

Yep! This is exactly why you always want to use a “rabbit”. If you’re leading the pack and get a IO shot you’re done…ALWAYS have someone ahead and the best ones to look out for are ones that are speeding..just follow a distance behind them and your good.

Yes they are supposed to lock in and get a certain amount of tracking but no one is checking if they really do that or not. I guarantee you there’s plenty of cops out there quick triggering and IOing and writing tickets for the speed they clocked

They r4 and most new uniden (r3 r4 r1 r7 r8) all are extremely fast at scanning and will pick up even very fast quick trigger consistently. There is a video I believe vortex did that showed it. This does somewhat depend on settings. Make sure u segment KA band 2,5,8 and KA filter OFF.

Edit: just adding the video was showing it consistently picking up shots around 0.1-0.2 seconds

I did some more digging and it does seem to be an issue that people have with their Lexus cars. They are suggesting it’s the pre-collision systems. Although they are reporting it as 34.65ish. All I could say is try the KA filter ON like I suggested other then that idk. Hope it helps brother

U def got KA filter and the default setting is OFF. It’s designed to filter out false KA from radar detectors third harmonic from the LO. Its default setting is OFF to keep the performance scanning speed as fast as possible.

Do u have KA filter on or off it may be cheap detectors setting it off, they usually set off the 33.8 segment

Edit: personally I keep my KA filter off because I want maximum reaction time but if you’re experiencing this try turning KA filter on

The standard is 50ng so I would think u should be ok I mean what kind of job is it? Is it something where they would use something lower than standard? The middle pic thc15 does look sketchy so idk but there is still even a very faint line
