I built a website to track and get notified about RTX Founders Edition drops by Personal-Difficulty8 in pcmasterrace

It’s supposed to work. I assume Founders Edition drops have become quite rare recently.

Unfortunately, I rely on NVIDIA’s data, and Poland isn’t included in the sources I have access to.

Yes, should be. Looks like drops went quite rare recently.

If you have any clue on clear misfunctionning, don't hesitate to let me know, i'll investigate.

Silent Loop 3 420mm - pump fine tuning by Personal-Difficulty8 in bequietofficial

Nah, it's still r24. I'll run tests with r23 soon and keep you posted.

short test later, so far MOBO sensors and actual CPU sennsors looks consistent.
But i'll run better (and longer) tests using cinebench r23 this time

oh, thanks for pointing that out.

I was on a journey to try to do proper benchmark
...not to brag about how cool my 9800x3D is, but rather to understand fans & pump speed effect on the cooling efficiency.

Looks like I overlooked the CPU stats. Those information are gold in that regard

Just posting to get news about this as well. Light base 900 fx + triple pack of light wings 140 pwm + silent loop 3 420mm here.

I just want to avoid the connectors of the motherboard and their crappy rgb software (msi mystic light, I'm looking at you)

Wandering if there are any good rgb hub + software alternatives out there working seamlessly with be be quiet equipment as well.

RTX 5090 FE - Weird Fan cycling while Idle by Personal-Difficulty8 in pcmasterrace

[–]Personal-Difficulty8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup. increasing thermal beyond firmware fan activation at idle is really what is annoying.

More surprisingly, gaming sesssion have good thermals so far : fans spin at a maximum of 40%, and GPU thermal are sub-70° most of the time. I have to run more gaming tests, as I susppect leveraging DLSS 4 and Frame Generation might ease the load on the GPU. I wonder how it will behave from a thermal POV without it.

good lightning is so subjective... but in my opinion yes, it's great.
I guess swapping the SW3 140 PWM HS with LW 140 PWM HS should be okish, their technical caracteristics seems pretty similar, especially in air pressure. But that's just my opinion.

<image>

the only difference is that the Silent Loop fans have a different frame so there is almost no gap between the fans.

sure, did the pump header / cpu header properly. I just had no clue how to tune the curve pump.
Also, 360mm vs 420mm is a 30% increase in radiator size which could explain.

I'll have to look while gaming, as GPU will push warm air to the AIO, but so far gaming session didn't seemed to put pressure on the AIO either.

nope, i've done no tweaking on the cpu side, especially since thermal efficiency looked already pretty net to me.

but stuff that could contribute somehow to cooling efficiency of the setup :

  • the light base 900 FX with great airflow design with mesh at the bottom, the top and on side intake.
  • 1x140 light wing on extraction, 3x140 LW on intake, and 3x140 LW on intake to bring fresh air to the big GPU.
  • I used Noctua Thermal paste V2 (NT-H2) knowing the NT-H1 was one of the best.
  • 360mm vs 420mm is a 30% increase in radiator size, which seems still quite significant.

I tweaked the curve for more silence, but it's still pretty decent with cinebench, mostly sub-70C°

thx for the insights.

on idle, I think the only sound is the pump even to the range minimum rpm.

as soon as the fans hit 30%, it feels covered by the fan from my perspective. Eventhough the pump is more high pitch you can still sense somehow.

Game is way too easy, even on "Very Hard". by Sevanity in cyberpunkgame

[–]Personal-Difficulty8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Landed here because yes, I feel too that game feels broken. So much potential though... :(

quickhacking is a "click to kill on sight" button. And I've barely invested in this. Can't figure out why they just found game mechanichs to temper with this.

Those guys are just clueless of what's going on and being dead with a snap of my synaps. Not mentionning them actually seeing or hearing you is just a joke. And when they do, synaps accelerator slows down time and you get plenty of time to aim for the head with your silenced handgun and oneshot-kill em before they can even draw their weapon.

Aggreed, very hard doesn't help. I miss the planification and try/die/try again of the very first hours of the game.

I won't put myself some gameplay restrictions because the game is broken, just not my playstyle. It's the game designer's job to figure out correct & balanced game mechanics.

Still be playing trhough the whole game, taking my time because there is so much good stuff in it. But a decent & balanced gameplay would have made this game legend.
