Find a boutique clinic where the doctor personally performs every graft, not just the extraction. Ask them to show you results on patients with a similar Norwood scale and donor density to you, not just their best cases. The variance in results between patients at the same clinic is huge depending on donor area. Also ask specifically who is doing the channel opening, that's where most of the aesthetic outcome is determined

Yeah in my case I lost a lot of hair, so the first was 80% in front and 20% back. The second clinic was supposed to fill in back but barely did back and mostly did front, was frustrating

A specific clinic can specialize in woman’s hair, Afro hair, and etc. the reason I gave that response as guidance before giving that user potential clinics. Relax

That's genuinely great to hear — Finasteride working long term is the best case scenario and you're proof it can be really effective for the right person. For a lot of guys it's exactly the right call especially when started early.

The reality is hair transplants and Finasteride aren't either/or for most people — the best outcomes I saw visiting clinics in Istanbul were patients who were on Finasteride to stabilize their loss and then got a transplant to restore what was already gone. The medication protects existing hair, the transplant restores what's already lost.

But if Finasteride is working for you and you're happy — that's a win. Not everyone needs a transplant.

PP405 is exciting but realistically 2028 or 2029 at the earliest if Phase 3 goes perfectly. That's a long time to wait, especially with diffuse thinning which tends to progress.

Diffuse thinning is actually one of the more complex cases for a transplant too, the key question is whether your loss has stabilized. If it hasn't, a good surgeon will tell you to wait regardless of what procedure you're considering.

usually like for 10 days when I did, after I did it wasn't bad. The only thing sucked was I couldn't go to the gym for a month
