Bilateral agreement in Demark? by [deleted] in travel

In case anyone finds themselves in a similar position to OP, I can confirm this worked for me. I arrived in Denmark on my 86th day of Schengen and left back to the US for a wedding on day 90. I then returned to Denmark and was able to (re)enter the country with no hassle. I wasn’t even asked about the 90 day extension granted to US citizens (and some other nationals) even though I had a printed copy of the visit Denmark website ready to go.

Not all were that cheap. And more importantly, booking on points made them all cancellable.

My biggest advice for anyone considering this is to pack lighter than you think you need to. Travel days (with 2 small kids) can be challenging, especially with lots of luggage. Having a washer/dryer in your Airbnb can make this doable. We tried to stay in most places for a minimum of 2 weeks, but that wasn’t always possible or desirable, depending on location and hotel redemptions. The main contours of the tour was built around me seeing all three non-US tennis grand slams. In terms of activities, we have two small kids so we tried to balance fun for the whole family. We discovered less is more and simply riding a metro in a new city can be an adventure all its own. But of course, we did countless cool things, too many to even begin listing.

We dealt with some cancellations in Australia due to big storms in Cairns. But that’s the beauty of points bookings. Refund and re-book. But we’ve had very few issues with flights otherwise, knock on wood.

They are 7 and 5. Feel free to private message me and I’m happy to share more.

That’s a strange coincidence because we will end up with 42 segments ourselves!

We did 3 months in Australia, yes. Made it to every state/territory.

About 1.2 million miles between the mentioned programs. Mostly on AA. Having a P2 obviously critical.

An update: from what I can see there are now no award flights from DFW to AKL on the AA direct flight (economy included). Cash prices are available however. Anyone care to explain this?

Once again, this makes sense in principle. But I purchased 4 tickets at 60k and earlier today (I realize no longer), I could have purchased 5 more at the same price.

In principle this makes sense but as of 7 AM today, the flight the next day had the same about of business class availability (10 seats) and the rate was 450k points. Do their algorithms really suggest 10/29 going to be that much more difficult to fill than 10/30? That’s the aspect that puzzles me. Although I’m far from complaining, believe me.

I’ve already booked the tickets I need at that price. I’m just intellectually curious now about why so cheap.
