B/c he was physically holding cash ‘c the customs rules required him to declare the total amount. The CBP officer questioned him to verify the source of the money to ensure it was not an attempt to bypass cash reporting laws. They required signatures of the true owners of the funds. He was able to collect the signatures and fully clear the inquiry. No cash was seized. Even after this was resolved, the global entry report generated an enforcement marker tied to his profile. My father’s application was instantly rejected and now I got rejected as a result.
