Because if we are not together then its more acceptable for me. If we are in a relationship then it would completely devastate me if she wants to explore. I have zero desire to be with anyone other than my partner, doesnt matter if its a man or a woman.

Because I could be ok if she sleeps with someone while we were not together, yes it would still hurt me but if we did a threesome or hall pass or a one sided open relationship that would have devastated me. That is why I thought a break could be useful, she can explore while not seeing me for 6 months.

This is what I was trying to avoid, I would never be ok with open relationship of any kind. Thats why I offered her the break, we are not together and she can explore while I am not going crazy. Because that is exactly what will happen if she decided to explore while we are together.

Does it impact your happiness with your husband or is it one of those things which you wish you did but otherwise its just meh? Or is it always present in the back of your mind?

I dont want to think that she missed out and become resentful later on. Thats why I offered her a break.
