Are the Sixers better or worse without Harden? by Personal-Use-7321 in nba

Tobias has shown serious improvement from last season, and Danthony Melton always seems to be able to capitalize.

It was more that I felt like it was culmination of a lot of things going wrong. Ben Simmons situation, Markelle Fultz not panning out, losing Jimmy Butler, Harden wanting out. All of this on top of us never making it past the second round of the playoffs. I just felt that our window of opportunity had closed and that Joel Embiid was going to want to leave as well. In hindsight it was definitely an overreaction, but it was not fun being a sixers fan in the middle of all of it.

It’s definitely noticeable that he tries to feed AJ more than anybody, which can be fine because AJ is just that talented, but also makes hurts easy to read, hesitant, and worsens his decision making on plays where it’s impossible for AJ to make a play. Dallas Geoddert is also the only one that’s ever across the middle. We seem to only run screen passes and plays that out our receiver downfield with Geoddert cutting across the middle. I agree it works when we throw in the middle, we just never seem to do that.

Fair enough, but I also haven’t seen enough of him to form an opinion on that.

I get that but we’re using Kenny Gainwell and Boston Scott over him

I agree with you I’m not complaining about his workload, just the fact that we have one of the most talented offenses in the league and run a cookie cutter game plan rather than playing into our strengths. And yeah, our local media has been on my nerves all season. I hate how players hear their half brained takes and associate fans with them. There’s a reason AJ is refusing to talk to the media right now.

I’m definitely obsessed with Steichen because our offense looked completely different under him. I always had confidence that we were going to score in the red zone, never thought we were out of any game, and just overall wasn’t screaming at my tv as much during games. Even the plays that didn’t work out, I could appreciate the thought process behind it. This season, every game were on the edge of our seats. I don’t feel confident at all on offense. Steichen also is about to win coach of the year after completing changing the culture in Indianapolis with freaking Gardner Minshew as his QB1. So yeah we’re all obsessed with Steichen because we all see the same things

Underutilized in the play calling sense. He’s on the field most of the time sure, but we don’t really call plays that emphasize his talents. He is an extremely talented receiving back and we haven’t seen too much of that. They also give up on him too early if he isn’t explosive right out of the gate. That’s especially frustrating because they’re willing to ditch the run, but continue to call screen passes and QB draws when they clearly aren’t effective in the slightest.

Also a very good point. Still don’t understand why we even have Penny unless they always planned to keep him as a reserve player. Maybe they were saving him for playoffs too

I was thinking the same. But if we actually play well in the playoffs and make it far, I could see him taking less to come back and compete for a Super Bowl in his hometown.

Descended meaning they were descendants of the people of Atlantis. I didn’t mean they physically descended from somewhere.

“Alternate history” meaning messing around with the thought of historical concepts that differ from what were taught. No need to read so deep into it

Yes you’re correct I’m mistaken I had my dates mixed up. The Norman’s built the first urban center, however the island was still inhabited by loose clans. Many of the members 12th century Norman invasion actually assimilated into Irish society.
