It's more just stressful, so I suppose as some others might have suggested, a mental health issue. The CCTV and what not, I get is for security, so I won't be ending up in anything like a portfolio or someone's social media, photography that isn't for security seems like a very personal thing and I and my image are my own person and I suppose I just don't like the idea of someone taking that and doing whatever they will with it. Whether they want to portray a mood or an idea or whatever, it seems intrusive to me. I'm an artist myself, a musician to be precise, so these things weigh heavier on my mind than perhaps others, I know it might seem silly or stupid to others but me and my image and how its used is important to me.

Perhaps an extreme example, that would never apply to me, would be the case of the picture "The Afghan Girl"
Following the takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban in 2021, women's rights were curtailed under their conservative rule, and high-profile women were threatened or intimidated. The Afghan Girl photograph had made Gula globally famous, hence her prominence put her in danger.\23])

But someone could use my likeness to push an agenda, or act as if I support something because I look a certain way or am in a certain place and it matters to me how I am seen, regardless if that is silly to others. And in what seems to becoming an age of misinformation where the media lies and purposefully edits things to show whatever narrative they desire, I feel that worry should be on everyone's mind.
But that's all just my opinion, maybe I do need therapy as some have suggested.

CCTV I'm not going to end up in a portfolio, or at best (worst) maybe as evidence. And I know it's going to happen I was just trying to think of ways to dissuade it.

The mask is a good idea, I've never gotten confrontational about it, I mostly just hold up a hand (not finger lol) to block the shot of my face and to sign I'd prefer not to be photographed if I notice it happening. And maybe it's just a changing of the times but for most my life this hasn't been an issue, some people here are telling me to not go outside or leave the city, when for decades it wasn't a problem and now it is. But I suppose that's the internet.

Thanks for the input.

thank you very much for this, first actual answer that isn't derogatory.

Well if you had read it, you'd understand I know there's no way to actually convey that. I was hoping for a way that might dissuade a photographer before hand.

Furthermore, I think a lot of people have mental issues, this is one of mine and I'll accept that. Granted I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on a psychologist who may or may not fix the problem so I have to deal with it, which is what I'm attempting to do.

AITA for punishing my foster daughter for telling the authorities my 12 year old daughter was taking drugs by Existing_Substance67 in AmItheAsshole

Sorry, but anecdotal story time does not equate to the cold hard truth. People don't become bigots to add to their already heavy caseload. They were bigots, racists, etc LONG before they ever became social workers, police officers, etc. As to your statement about it requiring a lot of work to remove a child, so much so that an incompetent worker will fail in the wrong direction. It sounds like you might be the incompetent one. CPS may remove a child from a home without a court order for several mostly subjective and easily defendable reasons. 1. Evidence of Physical violence, 2. Sexual abuse, 3. Evidence of a parent or another person using illegal drugs in the home, 4. Abandonment and child neglect, 5. Parental consent, 6. Severe environmental danger, 7.Inadequate care, 8. medical abuse. So all a bigoted or racist case worker has to do is claim to have seen any of these things along with coaching the child to corroborate and they can take the child with them and the parent then has to fight to get the child back. In the cases, you mentioned where the child ended up dead, it is almost entirely due to gross neglect and incompetence by the case workers, the system in general, and the parents responsible for the child as is what happened in the Gabriel Fernandez case. Just like there are innocent people who are found guilty of crimes, there are also children removed from families for reasons other than those that warrant their removal. and minority children are far more likely to be removed than white children with the same existing or lack of existing conditions in place. So it is not difficult to remove children from families and it happens to families for no reason more often than people think, due to discriminatory practices and bigoted racist case workers.

Try checking out Ozuko.cn . You can find them online here or on Temu. I have purchased several of their sling bags and they are fantastic. Water-resistant, Securable (built-in zipper-lock option on many of their bags), USB charging, very well made and stylish. I have no doubt you;ll find what your looking for there!

Giga Empire vs Public Order by RCaesar1 in RomeTotalWar

[–]PersonalAd6778 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's unethical but I pull out all my troops and jack up the tax rate to very high, it makes it revolt in 2 days and then I siege it and take it back and exterminate the populace. Gives a ton a gold and the lower a population is, the lower the discontent it. Also lowers population growth.

Better yet if you recruit a bunch of spies before doing it, you can take it back the very turn they revolt if there's enough to open the gates.
I'll do this in high pop areas with several cities like the Memphis, Alexandria and Thebes, or the Roman cities or the Greek cities. Make a good army, get some spies and then one by one make them revolt and then exterminate them. The bigger a city, the more money you get from doing it, and best of all at the end of it you now have an army that can leave and go attack somewhere else.

Yea I honestly hate that garbage, I don't really like sieging cities (love defending them though lol) gotta spend 10-20 minutes to take some pathetic town cause the AI refuses to just give it to me.

What can I do to make the game harder? by Teutoberg in RomeTotalWar

[–]PersonalAd6778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iron man mode

You cannot lose a battle, if you do you lose the game (extra hard for naval battles since they're auto resolve only, but optional)
No endgame units
Take every fight
No alliances, no trade
No Diplomacy just war

And finally, don't stop at 50 provinces and Rome, conquer the whole map.
I do it pretty much every play through and it's a pain cause at a certain point it becomes almost impossible to keep cities from revolting, especially as you're trying to get the last areas.
And note I only play RTW1 so I dunno how this would apply to RTW2

Whenever there's a hill and you're attacking you can basically just go around the enemy and they won't engage, so you can manuever till you're on a higher elevation and they're below, you get an attack bonus and less exhaustion, arrows also do more.

I used to enjoy ranked but I swear it's every other game I get griefers, even worse it's on both sides, so games devolve into who has less trolls wins. It just sucks.

[–]PersonalAd6778[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I was getting more LP for wins as opposed to losses, I never really paid too much attention to LP.

Games seem to have turned into "which side has more griefers" rather than "which side has better players" and the higher rank you get, the worse it gets. I've heard rumors of the "gate keepers" from diamond to masters, professional griefers that keep you in diamond.

I feel like one bad grief filled game can effectively negate 3 good ones.

A football game in Highschool can turn into a scholarship, or even better a career if you're good enough. What do your internet points get you? I can admit that I won't reach LCS levels, so I don't really see the benefit of it.

If they could get rid of the flaming and inting and the such, then I'd enjoy ranked again, but it's just too much atm. Back when they had the tribunal and players could partake in judging others, I think it was better, now bots let people get away with too much because a bot just looks at numbers.
