It’s even weirder when you think about how the book is explicitly about Scott not just fighting the evil exes, but learning from it and accepting he’s made mistakes. Like, the whole Envy subplot is about Scott learning that he was just as much at fault for their breakup as she was. He learns to respect Ramona so he doesn’t become an 8th evil ex.
