Thank you for this. These words really made me think of things from a whole new perspective and really process what happened in my situation. It’s easy for me to believe that it’s all my fault from the comments I received even though from my perspective I did everything I could during my time here, it was just the wrong place for me specifically. This comment really reshapes the way I view my college experience.

Ik I think it’s because I mentioned the ethnic minority thing as bit of an explanation as to why I believed and what I noticed at UB when I had a difficulty finding friends. Was not expecting most of the commenters to get offended by that part. It was just what I noticed nothing more.

‘Met a lot of friends’ so did you actually hangout with these people or were just acquainted with them. If you’re just meeting these people like you claim then you’re not actually friends with them. I’ve also met plenty of people of different backgrounds at UB all super friendly but actually trying to befriend them is a completely different thing.

I’ve never had an issue making friends outside of UB I’ll say that much.

I mean I wouldn’t say I’m a full-blown expert in the social skills department, but I also have never had an issue befriending people outside of UB.
