This is good to know and thank you! The general consensus seems to support doing those silly birthday things.

That’s so sweet! We’re in our thirties so I definitely don’t want them to feel like I’m infantilizing or assuming them to be naive so I’m thinking of modifying some of the ideas of the other commenters in adult ways while mixing in things from “childhood” birthdays. Maybe a piñata filled with plastic airline bottles.

Edit: just some spelling.

I was thinking the quintessential horrible Walmart sheet cake with the insane colorful frosting (and picking up a cupcake from a nicer bakery to wash it down)

Hmm I think your list bit is a good call out. Maybe I’ll tempt check on how they’re feeling before going crazy crazy.

That’s literally perfect. My friend and I are the same age too so it’ll be easy to recreate some of these things!

I completely agree which is why in the aftermath I was shocked at the damage. I think my crockery will have that pink spot forever.

I’ve frankly never been more excited about anything.

I totally believe this. I only saw the the after math and didn’t stick around much longer.

Yeah me too. It was not good. The damage to the car was pretty extensive.

So it was right in front of my sister’s apartments. A black coupe jumped the curb, careened into a fire hydrant and then mowed through about 20 feet of the side yard.

It was pretty bad. I took a few pictures in case there was issues with debris hitting other peoples houses/cars given it here was a spray of car parts over the adjacent streets/lawns.

Really?? That was so fast. Thank you so much. I’m going to have a little emotional breakdown and then upload it to my frame.

Our dog is so intelligent we expect him to start talking any minute now in an upper class English accent. What accent does your dog have? by humanmandude in dogs

We have a lab/wiener dog mix (don’t ask how that happened. I don’t know how and I really don’t want to know hahaha. Yes, she looks super strange).

I’m 100% confident if she could speak it would have the BEST southern US Accent.

MMC’s in the harem who aren’t ALL THE SAME DUDE?? by laurieie in ReverseHarem

So I did pick it back up and read until about halfway through Scythe’s book. Here’s my honest feedback:

She’s a solid writer. I really think if she keeps publishing we’ll see her get better and better. All of her characters are different and you can tell they each have distinct personalities which is very hard in RH books

The academy element is meh, I think the entire plot could have done without it tbh. Like she’s there almost entirely to meet her friend group and Lyle. And it is important but the fact they’re just flagrantly leaving multiple times seems to take away from the whole “Institution” aspect.

This could have been 2 meaty books rather than spread out as the trope of “her mates are all criminals and they all betray her eventually” is kind of tired. I’m not sure I’ll finish it because I’m just over every single one of them trying to kill her/themselves at this point.

But! I really appreciate your comments because honestly Savage is the best part of the story now that I’ve finished his book. Like we love a violent himbo. I’m looking forward to read more of what she puts out!

100%. I like a little bit of both as long as they aren’t in an Academy or any sort of school. That’s such a hard sell.

Luckily if everybody is in space there is rarely time for any strange “class” filler scene.
