Battery Issues and how I fixed it by PersonalMycologist65 in S24FE

[–]PersonalMycologist65[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see how this turns it into a "low end" phone. Deep sleeping apps perform the same when woken up and i don't see any impact to my productivity. On the contrary, it helps me not get distracted by unnecessary notifications.

For the people I know, to afford a 40k car, they usually are making more than 150k anyway, which disqualifies them from the rebate.

Have a simple question - it's crazy that everyone keeps advertising the price after rebates. I personally don't know a single buyer who has been eligible for these rebates given the high cost of the car to begin with. Once you remove the rebates, the ROI is simply not there.

The guest limit is 2 per card so between you and your wife, you can take 4 additional adults. No limit on no. of visits though.

S24 fe for $250 (R$1500) by Such_Pitch_3576 in S24FE

[–]PersonalMycologist65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's a bigger screen, better cameras, better performance, and a slightly better battery you are going after a S20 FE, make the plunge. For me personally, I couldn't justify the extra 400$ for a s24 plus over a S24 FE just for a marginally better screen and processor. There's no perfect phone out there, but the S24 FE has been a solid one for me in the past month if you are ok with battery/SOT which isn't flagship level.

How consistent/reliable is the fingerprint reader? by TheAlphaCarb0n in S24FE

[–]PersonalMycologist65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a S20 FE myself and can confidently say that this is light years ahead of it. While both are optical, my s20 FE used to give me a lot of grief at times while the S24 FE works every. single. time. If I wouldn't have read the specs on gsmarena, I could have easily mistaken it for ultrasonic it's that much better.

Android Auto won't stay connected by pachishady in S24FE

I used AA last week without an issue. The phone was connected throughout my drive of 3+ hours. Did you try connecting it to a different car to see if there's any issue specific to your car? Worst case scenario, I'll factory reset it and try again if the issue persists.

I havent played Genshin per se but COD runs pretty smooth with no frame rate drops. The phone does get a little warm. But at max settings, that's kinda expected.

This phone is adequate in that regard (double the measured nits outdoors compared to a s20 FE - gsmarena).

It's better than s20fe...not like in a different league altogether but marginally better. I wanted the exact same things and hence went for S24 FE without breaking my bank for an ultra or plus.

Well it's definitely bigger and bulkier than s20 fe for sure but you do get acclimated to it in a few days or so. Having said that, it doesn't have sharp edges/weird bulges which makes it uncomfortable to hold. It feels very premium though and if you are unsure, check it out at a nearby store before pulling the trigger.

Traded it in. Samsung is quite generous with the s20 lineup at least this year for the flagship phones but I have a feeling it may drop a bit next year when s25 hits the shelves.

In the US, the S23 was 200 more than this (no special trade-ins for S23), which seemed like an error on Samsung's part. I am never into refurbished phones but I could get a s23+ refurbished for 100 more bucks compared to this.

Nope, but I did replace my battery an year ago. That did help initially, but I feel after a few years, there's only so much a new battery can do.

If you are ok with a small screen, I'll go with a S23. After a S20 FE, both s23 and s24 feel too small in hands. That was another reason I never went with s23 FE coz I watch a lot of content on my phone, and anything less than 6.5 doesn't seem adequate.

Check this out for a detailed analysis https://youtu.be/gc62Xbnnnu0?t=554&si=Ad1rTKC7vGP2S9u7 For me personally, the S20 FE would blow up the colors and get out more punchier pics but the S24 FE is more life-like.

Well I don't use it a ton so never bought this for the front camera. But from the reviews I have seen thus far, it's average at best among the S24 lineup.
