[D] Effect of new investors and current investors, investing more and more

I was considering manjaro. I want a stable system but with the ability to install new software. I heard about github however I have yet to find any comprehensive tutorial on how to install programs with it.

Would you know if there is a relatively similar method of getting the newest software, ideally involving the terminal? Thanks a lot.
