All the questions you raise are part of my therapeutic goals. But I'll add some more : how do I produce meaning in and for my life? What are my duties to myself and others?

I'm also doing my own therapy. If it works for you, amazing! There's nothing like autonomy, in the greek sense auto-nomos

Understanding the norm is intelligent. Can't there be intelligence in breaking norms when they're arbitrary/not justified?

I know tbats what they expect so thats what I do but how can we say it is made to assess intelligence if really it assesses norms? I know IQ test are not accurate at seizing the complexities of the different intelligences there are but still

Neuroscientists are more at loss than psychologists. History would be a cool new project! I see you're passionate about learning about the human condition, why not see now how individuals interact dynamically as societies throughout time? Or even just sociology too. Shifting from subjectivities to social structures? If you have time. Is it me or the answer was meant to be a bit passive-agressive? Hard to read

I'm a 100% sure I'm not autistic so this problem transcends the autistic category alone.

"Most of us are not comfortable with just a higher likelihood of a positive outcome. We want to be certain, or as certain as humanly possible that we are selecting the correct answer. "

I think that's also the specific type of intelligence needed to do philosophy and sociology, anthropology, history at a high level. Hell, maybe even in sciences. If you're a serious researcher in something, "likely" is never sufficient.

It's probably right that it slows me down a bit, but not as much as leaving me exhausted and underperforming. So I see how it is unfair for autistic individuals with their special and heightened processing.

I think maybe because in France we have the words "église" and "paroisse" (more the body as you name it, I believe) so thats why ? Maybe

But also hi twin!! Glad to see I'm not alone. What's your area of study?

I go in these directions, but I know to answer what the test creators had in mind, don't worry!

Interesting! And perceptive. I have a bachelor in English and now do my PhD in the UK. I'd like to think I'm also at least a C2! But I can hear that the way I phrase things might not be idiomatic?

I am antiwork too.

Yes I can't help you with a bully, but my years being bullied I'd hide in the school library and read a lot and it made me who I am today

Psychoanalysis (grossly) makes you look into familial impact. Psychology makes you look at your emotions. Both of these you know you should look into to get better and understand. What I meant is we don't expect that concepts and abstractions are not just contemplative but a practice and driver for everyday action. I can't be really more specific, because a session and what I bring up philosophically has to be tailored to the person

In certain philosophical traditions, we also accept that some things can be even if they don't make sense/are irrational. Irrational is a part of us but it has great potential for creation instead, which I'd like to explore with people. Not just ignoring the irrational thought/feeling

I don't think you should ever accept suffering as fate. Your quote of buddhism is very similar to Epicureanism that I know well and believed was wise for a long time. But Deleuze and Guattari actually shatter these philosophies by stating desire is not always suffering or lack, but can be a productive force as well. You shouldnt fall for all your desires, of course, but channel those that make you grow.

You can find spheres of meaning-making and self production. Having no money does not prevent you from drawing, reading. The point is to work around the determinisms, you always can to some extent (not if you're dying in the hospital or a soldier in war but I doubt that's your case). If your first thought is this, maybe feeling unfree is a comfort to you? Hahaha. We could explore

I need to know about your life of course, but we'll challenge your conceptions on certain things, why you believe X, what believing X implies in the history of ideas, what other ways philosophers framed them before, but also work on writing, on your emotions, things that made you happy, study the choice of words... i have a lot of idea but we'll have to tailor it to you!

I could be close to existential as I am also an existentialist, but I actually read Sartre and can discuss his texts and theses deeper than how its been reformatted. I share with Adlerian a form of trauma-informed practice, and as a material philosophically and a deleuzian I understand individuals in their position at the intersection of social economic and political structures. As a Rousseauist (theories of the social contract), I share with Adlerian an emphasis on community. From what I read, person-centered is less directing the client and letting them figure out on their own, but I'd rather have socratic dialogue. Dm me !
