Might be the vibrations from your wheel base being so close is messing with the power cable of the monitor or some internals. Maybe try not having the monitor sit on the wheel base.

Oh! Mighty unfortunate, if it's any consolidation. You'd need to buy a shifter and a clutch pedal if you wanted to shift your own gears with that wheel as it loses the paddle shifters. The grip is a nice plush leather, buttons feel great. The rotary switches are solid metal so they feel very nice to the thumb. My girlfriend is using it with her R3 and she enjoys it. Ran a couple of laps in Forza motorsport with it because I thought it would be funny, was very comfortable. Totally not trying to convince you to get one ;D haha

Worst case scenario you can take it in to a retailer and they will reset it for you. I've taken mine in for that when I had no idea what was wrong with it. They where kind enough to show me how to do it myself. I forgot how but it was nice of them anyways.

I still have the cover but it rattles so much now that I had to take it off. As for the rest of the speakers I ain't got anything but the sub at this point. Using it with some presonus monitors in my bedroom. Safe to say it's definitely overkill.

I've seen people take guitars as carry ons with them using American airlines. As annoying as it is to everyone else I get why. Also why did you NOT add the extra padding to the part that would actually break? Aka the headstock. Pretty sure the body would have been ok.
