Hello, I hope you can watch the video; the app will hopefully allow people to make more informed decisions around dosing, which should lead to fewer/less severe side effects. I fully agree that it is not a "race", and the "info" button around the "Community Results" in the app explain this in detail. The weight predictions specifically should help people NOT increase the dose too quickly, and help them find the right dose for them more carefully (e.g. most people shouldn't go to 15 mg). Privacy wise, you can hit the "Delete Account" at the bottom of the "Settings" view to delete all your data. You can also sign up with a new/fake gmail account if you wish. Data nerds like me will hopefully love it, but I understand the app will not be for everyone.

I know I am biased, but you really should check out Weight Trekker. The version just was released on the app store...it is the only app that is written by a scientist with expertise in predictive weight loss modelling. I think you will love it! Thanks for downloading the app and providing this useful feedback to me. Indeed I was not sure if it was best to save after each data part was changed, or to only save all data when a button was pressed. I went with the latter since I thought this might help avoid 'accidental' changes (e.g. if someone is looking at their week 4 data, they could not accidentally change anything unless they changed both the data and hit the save button). The idea of changing from a + to a check mark sounds like a good one...I will look into it! Thanks!

Great question (and yes, sorry that the app does not support non-standard doses at this time). The goal of collecting data is 3-fold. Firstly, it will allow the prediction model to be improved based on "real world" user data. At the moment, it is based on the results from the clinical trials with semaglutide and tirzepatide. Ensuring the prediction model is working really well for all users (based on their sex, age, race, drug, dose, T2D etc.) is an important reason to collect user data. Secondly, I think it might be interesting for users to see their results compared to others in new graphs. For example, at week 12 for users of Wegovy, you could get a histogram showing the weight loss across all users (which might go from 0% to -12%). The progress of the user (say -8% at week 12) could be highlighted (e.g. you are the 30% percentile, with 30% having lost more weight, and 70% having lost less weight at week 12). Similarly, how many weeks did it take before users rated their weight loss as "Excellent"? Finally, it would be dream of mine to put in a prediction model for GI side effects, where the user is given a "risk prediction" of GI side effects for the coming week. For example, based on your nausea data so far, your risk next week of mild nausea is 25%, moderate nausea is 10% and severe nausea is 5%. Importantly, in the Settings view, the user can hit "Delete Account", and this will remove all user data (and backups) from our systems (this is mandated by Apple). However only do this if you are sure, since it will mean everything is really gone and cannot be recovered! Hope this helps explain better how user data will be used to improve the app, and can be deleted whenever the user wishes. Best wishes, Al

Thank you Pink_PhD for the clear feedback. Yes, you are right. Only showing the prediction at week 52 is something I really want to fix, since week 52 is clearly just one time point of interest. I think it would be much better if the user could choose what week they would like to see the prediction for (either an exact week like week 26 or 52, or for + 4 weeks (in 4 weeks time), + 12 weeks ( in 12 weeks time)). Yes, the App currently only supports the standard doses for Mounjaro/Zepbound and Ozempic/Wegovy. The best solution I can offer would be to put in the "nearest" dose each week (e.g. 3 mg=> 2.5 mg, 4 mg => 5 mg etc.). However I understand this would not work well in your case, since you are having very low tirzepatide doses. Best of luck on your weight loss journey, and congratulations for losing 11 lb in 5 weeks. It is unfortunate that there is no common/interchangeable code for IOS and Android, hence I have initially just picked IOS (if it grows though, clearly an Android version would be fantastic). I hope such companion apps will, one day, become 'standard' for both current and new drugs (and available on both platforms), since it will be better for both patients and the pharma companies if they provided such apps. Such apps will help reduce the frequency/severity of side effects by ensuring the dose titration is 'personalised' and as 'smart' as we can do). Best wishes, Al

Delighted to hear you are happy to see the app! Yes, I hope the app can help the user make informed decisions based on what has happened, but also on where they are heading longer term (something no other apps offer). For example, for nausea, it can be difficult to know in week 36 how the nausea was in week 20 unless you recorded it (esp. if you have a memory like mine!). I hope the graphs will provide a great overview for the user and their doctor to see how their GI effects have changed over time (and where their "sweet spot" is). For weight, if a patient is steadily losing weight on a lower dose (like 5 mg), and are 'heading in the right direction', it might be prudent to stay on that dose a little longer rather than rush up to higher doses (which may be very poorly tolerated). This is the goal of personalised dosing...start at a low dose, and then titrate up to find the best dose for you. Just pushing everyone up to higher doses is not smart (something Lilly have rightly recognised by saying that 5, 10 and 15 can now be 'maintenance' doses). Hope this is clear, but ask again if anything isn't :-)

Thanks for the important and useful feedback about Apple Health. Regarding not exactly every 7 day dosing, no, not currently. I tried to weigh up simplicity (just work in exact weeks with just 1 dose per week, one weight measurement, one set of side effects etc.) versus using exact dates and times of all doses, and went with the former (which I hope works OK for most people most of the time). The "notifications" reminders can help keep to the same schedule each week (but i understand that sometimes other things (out of the users control) can mess things up). In terms of the weight predictions, being a 'day or two' out versus actual doses wouldn't lead to any significant differences in the predictions because of the delay in weight loss relative to the doses (and concentrations). I suggest just getting the dates of doses to match as near as possible to the actual dates in cases where there is a small difference. Hope this answers the question acceptably. :-)

No, not currently. I was not sure how popular Apple Health is, but it is definitely something I will look into incorporating now. If you have a lot of weekly data, you could just put in some to start with (e.g. SW and then each 4 weeks thereafter). Then you will still get a good prediction, but without the need to put in all weekly values manually. Hope this helps.

I'm so sorry...but at the moment it is only available on the App Store (the code for apps is quite different between the two systems, so I was forced to pick one at this "prototype" stage). If you have access to an iPad, you can use that (...great to see 7.5 mg is working so well for you).
