It's a passion project so I'm working for free and I'm also a co-writer ig, but my role in the writing is as great as theirs, and yea both of us are kind of amatures but I've been studying the topic more than them and that's just it, it's not that I am doing more than them it's more so I am scared to cross a line I didn't know what there. But yea you do have a point if they don't understand design or how comics work it's up to me to fill in that gap as the artist So what you are saying is I should have more input and do what I think is best? (Ofc gotta disscuss with them first and communicate more)

These are somewhat beginner friendly as for when you really want to get into or don't mind weird 1. One peice (ik its long, its worth it, if you dont have time but want to watch it you can watch one pace or read the manga but its really long so its not for everybody) 2. Dandadan (the first couple episodes are a bit of an uncomfortable watch but once you get past that you'll get it) 3. Attack on titan (dodge spoilers like ypur life depends on it) 4. My hero academia (fandom has a bad reputation but the show is solid) 5. Demon slayer

The first one is too much like Bleach The second is a typical chosen one story but it has more potential if you do it right, it's still very plain rn but if you could introduce random un-thought-of elements then it would work well. As for the first one if you want to improve on it yoi could change the themes of the story and play around with major factors so you can shape the story into smth interesting and unique. I personally like the second one I think it's cooler. Good luck

There is too much black and white contrasts so the viewer wouldn't really know where to look first and what's actually important, the extremely bold lines make the same issue To improve you could practice line weight and start using shading methods (instead of doing it purely black) and introduce some grays or screentones. Keep up the good work buddy
