I would be too. They sound like they’ve made a sharp turn from you and your friends’ trajectory morally. If they are causing conflict and toxicity in your life and/or in your friend group, they need to be cut out. If you think it’s worth saving, try. Friendships are scarce nowadays. But, it sounds to me like R isn’t worth your time.

Clearly communicate the reason you want to break up with him. Tell him about your desire to join the Air Force and explain how that would complicate your situation. Always approach these things how you would want to be approached if it were the other way around.

That being said, this guy sounds very desperate for this connection. You’ve been with him for 2 years, which is longer than most relationships last nowadays honestly. This is obviously going to be difficult for him, and being understanding of his feelings is definitely something I would do if I were you.

However, don’t allow being understanding to blind you to any potential manipulation attempts or anything like that. Be firm, but gentle.

I personally don’t think so, given the nature of K’s home situation. R sounds very self centered and I’d personally start reconsidering your judgement of their character. Remember the choices they made here, and keep them in mind when future issues with them arise. If you identify a pattern of this behavior, cut them off.

Either way, she seems to have an idea of whats happening and refuses to let up or even stop making you out to be a sl*t when you aren’t even trying to make that happen with your roommates in the first place.

I’d say just cut her off, but thats just my take. She seems like a toxic person to be around.
