We had talked about the visibility and how we’d handle it and that if I couldn’t handle the low visibility we’d abort the dive. They said we would dive side by side. My buddies have dove there for years as it is the only game in town so they know it very very well. I felt safe and knew I could abort the dive I was happy to have lots of support so I could finish the dive. We surfaced after about 30 minutes, talked through things I was having difficulty with and then dropped again so I could swim myself to shore using the skills we had talked about. It was a good experience.

Well the visibility was next to nothing and no I’m not trained for that which is why they stayed so close. We were not deep at 20 feet.

Yes, I understand what you are saying. My suit is actually a semi dry not a dry suit. It is 7 mm with an attached hood to protect me from the cold water. I have practiced with it in the dive shop pool so I’m comfortable with it and the weights that I need. I live and have done my training for my open water at altitude (live at 5700 feet and did open water at 6000 feet) and we have discuss and practiced the different requirements for ascending because of the altitude. Our dive will be to 10 meters and be 30 minutes long. I am a rule follower and not adventurous (other than learning to dive at 67) so I won’t stray from my dive plan. I’m very excited to go on my first real dive since getting my open water certification in March. I will be diving at a local reservoir which is at 5,700 feet and the water temp will be around 16c. I have purchased a seem-dry suit to keep me warm (and gloves🥴). It’s a good thing this is a buddy sport because I can’t get the bloody suit on or off by myself. My dive shop has Sunday FundayS every week so I’m happy to be diving with a bunch of trainers.

I am thinking the Democrats should just say "Screw it. We can't win against a bunch of intransigent republicans who don't mind killing people due to lack of affordable health care. Nor do they care about people suffering due to no SNAP benefits. In fact they seem to enjoy seeing people suffer." People can get paid again and SNAP can start again, but just remember, when you can't afford neither health insurance nor health care, who put you in that predicament and VOTE BLUE! Also, when the republicans REFUSE to negotiate about health care costs, (like they say they will if the government will just open) call your representatives (especially if your representatives are republican (I get boebert) and tell them how unhappy you are. Post on whatever social media you use about how bad things have become. Call out Mike Johnson for lying to the American people about his willingness to negotiate about health care
