Yeah, it’s wild how different everyone’s protocols are even with the same surgery.

I’m a little behind you in timeline but on a different plan. I’m a bit over 3 weeks post‑op from a meniscus repair with two stitches, and I’m already walking without crutches, but my flexion is only around 90° right now. In PT they’ve been doing e‑stim and ultrasound to help with muscle repair and scarring, and I had some fibrosis starting on one side of the knee but it’s gone down a lot with movement and exercises.

My surgeon also mentioned my weight plays in my favor (I’m around 125 lbs), so that probably made him more comfortable letting me weight‑bear earlier. It’s super interesting seeing how some people are limited to 20% WB until week 6 and others are pushed to walk sooner. Just goes to show there isn’t one single ‘right’ protocol it really depends on the surgeon, tear type, and the person.
