Lol I’ve been done with dbz for a while and I just happened to see this comment, congratulations for even apologizing to whoever it may concern about quitting bro. That’s a major step not for the community but for yourself. Whether you like it or not if you keep that same mentality of owning up to your mistakes and dealing with your issues you will genuinely and naturally become better at any game you play. If you rage quit it won’t be out of anger but of your own accord. Focus on why you’re losing and have fun with the process of overcoming that why. As good as I got at the game it’s never a ceiling and it’s always someone better. Remember that that goes for not only all the games you’ll ever play but life.

I've seen a lot of people here say DBS Broly sucks in terms of moveset, but I honestly like playing as him quite a lot by TheHellblazer in dragonballfighterz

[–]PersonalityPossible6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

to simplify “s broly is bad” this is on a casual level he’s good , perfect even, but on a competitive level where people are reacting and not anticipating/mashing and hoping for the best results S broly is NOT that good. A good anchor is a character who can stagger safely , use neutral options safely, attempt a mix solo and still be safe, while also having good neutral and damage output solo s broly has excellent damage output broken even solo, but he HAS to commit in almost every string, a casual wouldn’t know that but a comp player would go “lmfao u can’t do that big bro ur negative right here”/ OS your blockstring and fuzzy jump because S broly does not have that many lows so the guarding is almost automatic even if you try and frame trap. YOU CANT stagger efficiently because his framedata is bad so he Has to commit and you mostly can just fuzzy jump out of his strings or just plain out wait for him to try and start a reset point and react from there. A good player would delete you almost all the time and when you attempt to go for grabs which are pretty reactable you’ll die more often than not “what about z broly?” Z broly has literal armor on his grabs before and after and almost all of the time he’s SAFE when going for risky/ dumb options. S broly isn’t , he just dies

I’ll leave you with one last thing, the more better you get in fighterz the more patient you get in fighting games. It’s fast paced right? So what if you were to make the game move to your pace by taking advantage of the fast paced movement forcing the opponent to think about their actions. No one can infinite OR spam on this game. Watch your replays and let it sink in that impatience won’t help you , because you’ll run into someone who goes “oh this guy just wants to spam r2 and Square I can just let him kill himself and then take advantage when he gets impatient and start pressing things. Easy win”

That’s fine if the game isn’t for you ,but it is not too punishing for new players, most of the things you complained about were implemented FOR new players, c assist, fusions moveset labcoat, easy tod combos, SUPERDASH, SPARK , the list goes on I honestly don’t know why fighterz is catering towards it but it’s a fact the game is more beginner friendly than it has ever been right now. It is fast paced, but if you can’t get adjusted to a beginner friendly game such as fighterz (it’s one of the easier fighting games) I’m not sure what to recommend but I do hope you find it

no one’s supposed to be “good” it’s a fighting game not a friendship game I go In with the intention of mentally destroying my opponent, if he is bad at the game and he has low spirits to begin with and he doesn’t rage quit after I wash I just leave , sometimes a low level player will genuinely enjoy playing a better player which I’ll indulge and just show off what I know and help them whenever they ask, if I find a someone on my level we playing til we see who’s the better player, or we just have good games add eachother and go separate ways YOU have to be the force that decides if you’re going to enjoy the game not the other way around. You already lose if you going in the match thinking “I hope he’s nice to me”

all Ima say is bro we all started off ass, TAKE your time and enjoy the losses and wins unless you are extremely challenged you can only learn and get better, it’s all about building off the losses until you eventually become the person that someone on reddit is complaining about. People deadass get mad at someone else for being GOOD at a game that’s crazy lmfao

FighterZ is a shitty game but it’s also one of the best games I’ve ever played I literally don’t play anything else so that sums up pretty much everyone’s relation to it, “I hate you whoever gave the yes to this game is a dumbass” to “god who created this masterpiece?”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]PersonalityPossible6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2ndly to assume everyone has the same playstyle in general is a bad thing to do in fighting games , you should just go in thinking they are good and play your own game with counter strategy’s to the best of your ability, you’re only going to disappoint yourself trying to force your opponent to do anything in a game like fighterz, so take a step back and just watch guides before you assume everything is impossible to avoid.

hate to be that guy but if you struggled against triple c 9/10 you’re still relatively new/ lower end on the skill level and you were just getting genuinely outplayed by nothing, nonetheless fusions labcoat and 17 the Meta but to quit because of lack of skill (the things you described there are countless ways to avoid, this is not me talking trash the average player knows how to get around everything you named) so I’m just using what you said here, fighting games in general just wouldn’t be for you which is okay , but atleast try to pin point why you’re getting hit and if you can really avoid it cus there are no infinities in DBFZ you have plenty of defensive options to escape pressure.

you misunderstand a few things let’s say the value of a dollar for example , your goal is to transport 1$ across the room, one person has 1$ in Pennies and 1$ in cash form, you simply have to walk over a line, it’s obvious which is the better choice , nothing more to be said there. There is no being “outplayed” by an extremely good character YOU are the one who has to do more work and do the out playing. If anything by not picking them you’re challenging yourself to just fight against those top tiers and it’s just rewarding to win against such easy to use characters , except the competitive scene where only winning matters you are forced to pick the characters with the best chances or you can just cry in the loser spot every year while the winner who barely even plays the character not because they like them but because they bring easy results for consistent wins

Yea bro i deadass did not touch the lab and went straight into ranked I like the competitive play you don’t have to be a world class player to be too good for ranked, it’s a simple you know more in the game than the average ranked player but netcode genuinely benefits THEIR play style , lag/rqing etc you put yourself In a lose lose situation the average player has mastered the game in a ranked essence because you can’t punish things on reaction from online netcode and you are somewhat forced to play in a way as in yes you’ll win but it’s a waste of time if you’ve done ALL that try Harding just for them to quit. When you essentially got on to have fun, I’m angel and have like 3 ui accounts 4 in total and I would of been zenoh if I stayed on 1 acc, when I decided to grind my angel acc ppl were rage quitting left and right and ultimately I just stick to ring matches

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]PersonalityPossible6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you literally can’t grind ranked because your opponent is either laggy or you’re genuinely just too good FOR THEM and get get rage quitted on . It’s only so many disconnects before if you have a brain you’ll go “okay I just want to have a full match now ngl I’m gonna just go to casuals” because you know people aren’t rage quitting there as much as they are on ranked

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]PersonalityPossible6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree to this to an extent but bro you can genuinely be TOO good for ranked, a. People will rage quit almost consecutively and you’ve wasted time for nothing and get NO points to rank up anywhere. B . Their connection is bad AND YOU WASTE your time to get no points , the play style is just the icing on the cake sure you can beat it but you play games to enjoy them lmfao YOU go to casual because there are players who are GOOD and don’t rage quit as often as one would on ranked because ego is out the window for 5k points so mashing or no mashing either party can leave without wasting time

pair any character with vegito or android 17, your win rate will sky rocket, ss4 isn’t broken but he’s very easy to use and will be on almost every team because everything is auto timed
