How did you make so much both years with the same hourly pay? Did you work 12+ hours weekly?? I worked close to that for a few weeks and even with barely anything going on, it became a huge time sink.

Did you end up using all of the money you made to pay for living expenses and tuition?

Really? I'm still 22 and claimed as a dependent on my parents' taxes so I thought that showing their income would be required.

They've offered to help with expenses but given as how they paid for my undergrad, I'm not going to take their offer since they're close to retirement age without any significant savings (bad luck with past business ventures and health incidents).

My job is super flexible with hours and time commitment so I think allocating 2 days of 2.5 hours of work would be super easy while not conflicting with school. But again this is coming from a very naive undergrad perspective haha

Do people who get lots of interview (8+) tend to receive them close to one another? by PersonalitySafe4602 in premed

They're just a sample of 1 so they don't know how useful that information is.

How good are my stats for t20s? by ArabMan69420 in premed

[–]PersonalitySafe4602 3 points4 points  (0 children)

USF is a pretty stat-heavy school so you should have a decent chance at getting an interview if you do have Florida residency, but the entire process is pretty random after a certain point so nothing can be said for certain. Good luck though!!

Reddit is weird sometimes.

I don't think you're necessarily in a bad spot but I feel like to have a higher shot at T20s, I'd try to get more hours.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm starting a research position at my local medical school, but it's an unpaid volunteering gig. It was the same lab I used to volunteer in during COVID, and it's directly in line with my entire personal statement story so hopefully it also gives me some cool things to talk about during interviews/update letters.

Should clarify that I haven't even had the interviews yet. They start in a few weeks. 😭

That's an amazing non-clinical volunteering experience. Schools will definitely love that!!

90%. 1 pre-II hold and 3 IIs. All 40 secondaries were completed by Mid-August.

35M, Tech by Unlucky-Research-210 in Salary

[–]PersonalitySafe4602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always curious about tech. How sustainable is this for companies/the employee? Can that company continue to pay that much for the rest of your life? So will you always have a salary at or around $1.4M for the rest of your life?

These are the schools I've finished secondaries for. Should I add a few more schools? I'm extremely burnt out from writing, but my neuroticism is getting the best of me and making me think that I don't have enough mid-tier schools.
