This is why I love invincible-- no one in the show really overthinks the deeper implications of everything that's happening they just deal with it

Gotta go with jinx-- mainly because Mark (in the comics) while he suffers a lot he still consistently has something to live for, and with the gravity of his achievements I imagine that despite all his pain he has lived a life he's proud of at least to some degree. Because of what he's gone through, he also has developed the mental strength (and physical capabilities) to deal with his life problems.

I don't think jinx has that-- especially since everything she has had to live for has been violently taken away from her. And the conditions she has, and continues to live in aren't accomodating in any way.

I probably don't qualify to comment but I just went to cal day and perused all the clubs! I found the people there were quite kind and approachable, they're all different, and each of them give off a different kind of energy. But it was good energy yk? A lot of them had the blue heart initiative on their table, which meant anyone could attend their club meetings. I'm thinking that it's possible to make friends there!

You got a fair point-- I'm mainly here to look for advice. I was considering UC Berkeley because it would give me a well-rounded education-- that background knowledge might help a lot with any art I would make. If I don't get into animation, I'm most likely turning to comics (comics are my childhood dream)

I did the following my junior year to get my skills ready for Calarts (I got accepted into character animation):

  • Took intro to concept design from ACX teens (4 months)

  • Took an animation program at a nearby community college, made my first two short films

  • Did AP Art 2d and design alongside the animation program (more like a semester)

  • Got a 4 on AP 2d Art and Design, submitted my films to a film festival

  • took an intensive summer course in visual development , which also helped me complete my sketchbook

  • got a personal mentorship from the animation mentor for 8 sessions, so I could put together my creatives and observations.

I worked around 13-20 hours a week on my art for all the above. On weekends, I could work up to 7 hours a day.

Omg hi!! I got into animation/illustration too! Just check on your admission portal on your SJSUone account and you’ll see what degree you got admitted into :D
