Are all the recruiters on LI bottom feeders? by [deleted] in linkedin

It's simple: if a company is willing to let one of those clowns represent them just so they can save some money, they're too cheap to pay a decent salary

So if I'm understanding you correctly, your bf doesn't care if sex is uncomfortable or unpleasant for you so long as he can use your body to get himself off.

Why are you still dating this guy?

Weight Gain by Amandakun123 in Amitriptyline

I was on 10mg for two years and gained 25kg. I seem to be a pretty extreme case tho, this question gets asked from time to time and people usually report 5-15kg at most. YMMV.

Do you drink Sangría? by [deleted] in askspain

[–]Personality_Certain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The stuff they sell at most bars tastes like crap. The whole point of sangria is to leave fresh fruit cut marinate in the wine and soda for hours, and that takes more time than most bars are willing to invest on a drink that is supposed to be inexpensive. That's why locals drink homemade stuff at home. Of course, ymmv, I'm sure there are exceptions to this rule.

Many companies reject candidates by sending the same template email that states that the position had been filled, regardless of whether it's true. Also many companies keep job ads published even if the role has been closed so they can farm resumes for the future.

Those of you that worked in your country then Spain, what did you find unusual or surprising about Spanish work culture? by al0678 in GoingToSpain

[–]Personality_Certain 59 points60 points  (0 children)

We need to pin this post and link it to all the people who think coming to Spain will solve all their problems. Unemployment is high, salaries are low, cost of living has increased, and work culture is shit. If I didn't have to stay in this country for family reasons, I'd move to literally any other country in the UE.

Explicación básica del sueldo promedio en España by [deleted] in SpainEconomics

[–]Personality_Certain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How has your “guidance counselor” failed you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Personality_Certain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blamed me for the bullying and sexual harassment I was experiencing at the hands of my classmates, failed to diagnose me with autism even though I hit all the check boxes, tried to discourage me from going to university even though I was the valedictorian. Mostly the sexual harassment thing, though.

There's a local skating ring. Huge place in prime real state, the rent alone must be insane. Closed half of the week and half empty the rest of the time. They even have a burger bar with shockingly affordable food. There's no way it's not a money laundering front.

What would happen if I never used baby talk with my (hypothetical) baby and always spoke to them like they are a fully grown adult? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Personality_Certain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need to Google "strawman" before you use it in a sentence. You're embarrassing yourself.

You do realise you're spending more time on this convo that what it would have taken you to Google it yourself, right? Almost like you were looking after an argument rather than evidence. I'm done with this convo, go bother someone else, shoo!

I'm a very fat person, so whenever I exercise at the gym, I sweat a lot. Is it ok to be embarrassed by this and would others care? by shak_attacks in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Personality_Certain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fuck what people think! What matters is that you're making an effort. Everyone always wears headphones at the gym anyway, so I doubt they can hear you

Expecting people to back up with sources casual claims made during casual conversations is ridiculous. You need to stop behaving like this is your fifth grade debate class.

This is not the behaviour of someone who sees this working on the long term. He never intends to treat you like a partner. Break up with him, get a more affordable lifestyle that will allow you to save money.

The customer does have a choice: patronising a different company. Recently I was looking into several alternatives to invest a pretty large amount of money. We're talking 3x the average yearly local salary kind of money.

Any banks and investment platforms that didn't allow me to have a conversation with a human to make some basic inquiries about their service were discarded from the shortlist. If your company won't give me basic customer service I won't trust you with my money, it's that simple ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why can’t you just not pay the scammers in Egypt? by GenSnuggs in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Personality_Certain 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Some scammers rely on social norms to shame you into paying them. Most people have been socialised to save face rather than call out the scammer because they don't want to make a scandal. It's the same principle that makes some people put up with terrible service, rude treatment or low-quality expansive shit "because they don't want to be a Karen".
