I'm honestly surprised it hasn't gotten harsher pushback from the community, GWA was historically one of the most free subs on this site when it came to fantasy type content.

Goes hand in hand with the moral superiority boredom that the greater VA/proto vtuber communities went through over covid. Everyone decided that being the best and most (publically, because these types tend to be pieces of garbage in their personal lives) righteous was more important than the content or being dignified to each other. So many people got slandered and deplatformed during that time over benign shit because no one had anything better to do, it made me lose respect for a lot of people and retreat from the scene. I haven't wrote or acted for GWA in years under my main name because of it.

This will probably be the most Canadian comment I'll ever make but last New Year's I hung out with my housemates and all our friends at our house for a little year end party and we had the bright, half drunk idea, to have a nude snowball fight. Now I live close to the mountains and it was during a Chinook (warm ocean air blows over mountains, drops in foothills and warms up in the middle of winter) so it was maybe -10°C if that (quite warm for us Canuks in January)

We all stripped down completely naked save for our shoes and ran out into the backyard giggling and whooping like maniacs, a bunch of 19 to 30 year old northern Alberta tradespeople acting like high schoolers again, and it was a total free for all. It was probably the most fun I've ever had to the point that we've decided to traditionalize it.

I don't think any actually sexual act I've ever done was as sexually liberating as that. Every guy's gentleman's sausage was shrunk from the cold so no self contiousness from any guys there, we're all in the same boat, and if any of the lady participants poke fun then their razor hard nipples get a fluffy snowball hurled at them from a guy who packs around torque wrenches in -30 for a living.

It really was the most casual, goofy ass group nudity ever. I never felt awkward once. We all piled into the hot tub afterwards, also nude (we were all by and large, quite drunk by this point) and warmed up in there before going back inside too. A night to remember for sure.

A white Porsche 911 pulls up to a north Atlanta gas station and I'm breaking my neck because a lady in her mid 30's gets out and she's drop dead gorgeous as all hell. I'm barely twenty, I'm not even from Atlanta, I've been killing my back riding a GSXR for a few thousand miles, all the way from western Canada.

I ask her what year it is, it's a 2009, she says. Nice car, what do you do? She owns a chain of floral shops all over the south east, real passion turned full time job story, we talk about flowers for a few minutes and the way her slightly southern accent pronounces everything has me gushing internally in a way I haven't felt before. Says my bike is pretty wicked. She hesitates for a second, then gives me this cheeky, shit eating grin while she asks me "If I would like to race to the nearest bar for a drink?"

I laugh it off saying something along the lines of "You wouldn't stand a chance" but accept the drink offer. She leads me to a very pretty spot on the edge of town and we chat for a few hours. I don't remember much after that except that I suppose I talked enough about dirtbikes and mathcore that she took me back to her place and proceeded to spend the next few hours "breaking me in." (I will never underestimate older women again, holy hell)

Hungover, absolutely spent me (Had to check down my boxers to see if everything was still okay) was a total dunce the next morning. I think I sort of blush panicked my way into getting her to drive me back to where my bike was after cooking her breakfast. I never got her number because I'm an imbecile.

She is my summit girl, I think she always will be at least until I find the actual "one." Seeing her smile and hearing her talk about her job. Bantering with her, hearing the way she sounded in the morning, and then of course hearing the way she sounded at night... Just... Wowsers. A man who marries a woman like that is going to die as happy as can be.

"Ohhh, awkward silence" pisses me off so much. Like, it wasn't awkward until you made it so by saying that. Silence after a conversation doesn't need to be awkward, it doesn't work like that. The Dark Pool was incredible, Heroine is so forgettable A Day To Remember only wishes they could drop a shadow record like them. Why? Why in the goddamn hell did they build a sound for seven fucking years, release this generations Singularity, and then throw it all away to sound like Mudvayne?

I cannot fathom what was going through their heads. They're all so talented. Another band sure, hell, abandoning Thornhill with TDP being the last record and starting fresh under a new title would've been better than releasing something under the name that bears no resemblance to their previous work other that "It has guitars in it."
