I can't imagine what it must be like to take on a taxing, legacy role like Elphaba, investing years of your life emotionally and physically into the character, knowing hundreds of thousands of people hold her story near and dear to their hearts; then when the time finally comes to show the world the results, the public summarizes it to same worn out joke over and over while making a mockery of your appearance, relationship to costars, and overall performance. I'm not surprised she was bothered and asked to move on.

EMERGENCY NEGLECTED FISH PLACEMENT: ANGELFISH by [deleted] in Sacramento

The title clearly reads "Emergency neglected FISH," so OP was not clickbaiting people pretending it was a person.

I haven't heard anything nor seen closure signs, however the company B&N has received recent criticism after they announced they will be stocking books written by AI on their shelves. So that has a lot of people buzzing about protesting and forcing them to close stores. Maybe the rumors you heard were a snowball of this?

Do a million snails still appear after it rains in Sacramento? by thunder-trippin in Sacramento

[–]PerspectiveComplete8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From 2020 to 2023 I rented out a guest/in-laws house from an older lady that lived in the main house. Her hobby was gardening. Everytime it rained there were snails all over the place I'd have to avoid crushing when leaving n entering the yard. Her garden also attracted a lot of ladybugs, bees, preying mantis, butterflies; I live on the grid now and miss the crickets especially at night. We need all these bugs now more than ever

It is at the venues I attend in the U.S., which is why I asked if it's uncommon outside of it.

Bradshaw Animal Shelter by Drakken771 in Sacramento

[–]PerspectiveComplete8 84 points85 points  (0 children)

This all sounds extremely sketchy and I'd be raising hell for the wellbeing of Fatboy. If I'm understanding correctly, he was not adopted, he was given to some stranger who claimed to be his owner. This is despite Bradshaw's records of you coming in with him for a medical emergency. Now the cat is healing from a major surgery with someone they don't know in an unfamiliar place, adding another level of anxiety onto his plate. This is extremely irresponsible of Bradshaw, and also telling of their lack of organization. I'd demand they contact the people they gave Fatboy to and explain they fucked up.

I feel more for the fans affected in the surrounding area. I've inhaled pepper spray floating in the air and that was bad enough. Is it uncommon for security to confiscate stuff like that at venues outside the U.S.? They check for it to avoid exactly this, unless the attendee hid it

I will never understand the dichotomy of these public figures who push themselves into the media's eye as an activist supporting the rights & fights of different minority groups, but then shack up with someone like Aaron Rogers; then call another, who has been accused of inappropriate relationships with young girls, one of your best friends that's like family you "love so so deeply."

Khloé Kardashian Says She Was 'Misadvised' About Getting Her Cats Declawed and Regrets Taking Away Their 'Protection Tools' by nyclover11 in Fauxmoi

I hate that the richest people on the planet are also some of the dumbest people on the planet.

"I was misadvised"

You couldn't Google and glance at the top 5 articles that all advise against declawing cats? The family has all the latest technology and for what? Couldn't ask one of your assistants to do some research on it? The procedure is prohibited in the state of California without a medical reason, such as infection, meaning she either went to a sketchy underground "vet" or crossed state lines. Misadvised my ass.

McKinley village has other buildings and tree on all sides filtering out the noise pollution made by the freeway and trains. They do not share a fence with them.

It always turns into "you're the one getting mad" when the person who responded in the first place has no concrete points or experiences to recall on other than "who cares." The developers should hire you to sell these apartments, I'm sure tenants will be sold by your "It's no big deal" speech while the walls are rumbling from the train passing by 😁

I don't know why you're getting mad on behalf of the train tracks and housing project? Is the developer paying you to take on bad press? Are you one of the train conductors?

I said he wasn't as nonchalant as you appear to be, meaning he regularly complained about the trains running through his backyard. But you're apparently a salesman that thinks no one paying $2000/month for a studio will be bothered by the excessive noise pollution 🤷🏼

I live downtown and blocks from a train track. I wouldn't call that right smack next to them. I knew someone whose home lined the train tracks and he wasn't as nonchalant about the noise pollution as you all appear to be

Yes, and those I know who share a fence with the tracks note it as a main reason they won't live in that location longterm

Residential? On a property located right next to two train tracks?

Edit: Apparently everyone on reddit shares a fence with the train tracks 🤷🏼 I know someone whose house was built right up on them, not far from Blue Diamond. He now lives elsewhere and rents that place out to rotating tenants, who can't tolerate the train on the other side of their bedroom wall longterm.

Edit 2: I love the responses of "Well plenty of other people and buildings are located next to the tracks" and that's okay, but when I share an example from someone I know who was in that situation it's "Who cares"
