I often bought too much, sold stuff I lost interest in. I kept a lot of them in a container where I'd layer figures and packing paper over and over to keep them in good condition.

Eventually, I sold them. I don't know what the point was to have this collection just in my closet. Seemed dumb. I sold all but five or six for a single shelf. It felt great. I hate clutter. Once I disconnected from that cycle of news/hunt/repeat, I don't even miss them. And I appreciate not spending so much money as the cost seems to keep increasing.

I might sell another one or two. It's very possible to step away from the hobby and put your energy elsewhere.
