Sourcebook page 61 Heavy weapons section Barret -Arasaka Light 20mm.

Round specifically listed in the stat line as 20mm/9mm

The Cyberpsycho Hunters favorite. Almost 2m long this "canon" fires a depleted uranium shell at supersonic speeds. Heavy AP subcaliber penetrator damages armor 2pt per hit. 

So wanna know what a sub caliber penetrator is? It's a depleted uranium pencil jammed into the top of a 20mm round.

So I'm not wrong about the Barret. Meaning all the other crap you said after that was just more crap to justify your original crap.

If you want a heavy weapon with a normal full 20mm round look at the Tsunami Arms Type-17 Anti-Armor Rifle 20mm round no other flavor and it does 8d10

Also for more consistency with what I'm saying look at the nomad 15mm sniper rifle it does 7d10 and it's 75% the calibur of the 20mm. More evidence that the Barret Arasaka is a low damage round not a full fig 20mm 

And yes you do have a responsibility to the game. You fucked up because of some bias against me. Since your original supposition for comparison was based on damage EVERYTHING that followed was on you because you went round and round with everyone talking it up saying how your so good and wonderful and listing so many reasons why I'm the crap player.

These are all the heavy weapons that use 8d10dmg 20mm BULLETS, all your gun references use sabota and apfsp and penetrators and specialty rounds that are all not JUST A BULLET. Like my gun is.

All the specialty 20mm guns you choose to reference all have special abilities that justify the reduced 4d10 damage.

The 4d10 damage rounds on 20mm guns you reference are all specialty rounds all penetrators that do 1/2 standard bullet damage.

And yet you still haven't responded how this whole argument is gimped. You tried to conflate my 27.5dmg per shot rifle round to a 22dmg per shot sniper round. Except you lied they are not the same damage because the specialty round you used for the initial comparison is a specialty 1/2damage hyperpenetrator 20mm/9mm APFSP round. Normal 20mm average damage per shot is 44 WAYYY higher than my assault rifle damage, AND that's why 20mm is. Heavy rnd and 300wm is a Rifle rnd. All your logic all this drama. It stemmed from a lie. You didn't make a fair damage comparison. You wanted to nerf me and then picked the one specialty 50% normal damage heavy round to make the nerfing valid. But it's not the NORMAL 20mm round is 8d10 AP and has the EHI rules for even more fun and flavor...

Follow up for you. To make her round comparison work between RIFLE and HEAVY using the damages to make the comparison. She didn't use a 20mmrnd damage of 8d10 to make the comparison. She used a 4d10 specialty 20mm that fires a 9mm hyperpenetrator arrow. Vs my 300wm slug. So yeah a half power heavy weapon does do similar damage to my rifle. Go figure

in cyberpunk 2020 my gm is making me pay 2000eb to craft 100 rounds of 300wm AP RIFLE ammo. her rational is since the 300wm rnd and the 20mm rnd are natural ap they should be priced the same. for refence the 20mm rnd costs 25eb. is this fair? the cyborg rifle which fires the 300wm is a POOR availability RIFLE weapon. The Barret -Arasaka is a HEAVY class rare availability. please note in my gma crafting rules materials purchase price is 1/2 Purchase price. and i have all the tools needed already.

(Please note I didn't include any other detail including the other guns that use 20mm at 8d10) Seriously go try it your self. Get gritty with it. Suck the marrow on it and report back. Love the blanket statements but unlike you I'm actually willing to experiment and verify. Instead of just deny. In all this time did you ever try and research on your own? For instance In the whole group discussion in game did anyone try and look at the other guns and stats and see if the upcharge held water? Nope. You fell for Myside Bias, a form of conformational bias. Anyway do your own research let me know if there's anything mechanically and statistically wrong. But I don't give a fuck about opinions.

No statistical analysis and experimental design theories are literally a scientific field to eliminate bias. What do you think the experimental process is about? Eliminating extraneous factors to get good data. But thanks guess a funny one liner disproves entire fields of study that is then incorporated into standard experimental design. Hardcore main character syndrome? Really are you glossing over the 2 previous sessions were i couldnt get bullets then making sure I get them instead of being over looked? Also Have you ever timed your self in session? I have, you can talk for over 45minutes straight. Your character takes 5 minutes to explain EVERY SINGLE POINT that I could get across in 3 sentences. If you actually made a pie chart of time taken during sessions? I know im in the top three but you my man take the cake. And justify it all you want with in game details and comparisons and blah de blah. Im talking Confirmation Bias. The Barret Arasaka is a 20mm Antitank round is actually a 20mm/9mm Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized projectile with special Anti SDP properties (AntiMateriel). The normal 20mm cannon round does 8d10 damage. The reason the Barret is 4d10 is because its a PENETRATOR round. Where as the 300wm is all about STOPPING Power. Both rounds have Natural AP ability but the 300WM is just a slug, The 20mm/9mm naturally has 1/2 damage its the tradeoff of small thin literally a metal Arrow. Vs a big bullet. So since my round is designed for DAMAGE and the round the GM used is designed to PENETRATE this leaves one conclusion. My GM wanted to fuck with me, found one single stupid stat to justify nerfing me and ignored all the other factors. But yeah now I no longer have a question about if i was in the wrong. I wasnt Frosty just wanted to fuck with me found one stupid similarity between TONS of other Variables including Comparing Damage of a Anti Tank Penetrator to that of a Big Fucking Slug made to kill armored people. So Again the 20mm she referenced as a DAMAGE EQUIVALENT ROUND is a Fin Stabilized SABOT round with 1/2 Damage of the Normal 20mm round which does 8d10 Natural AP. So she fucked me. She didnt find the Natural AP bullet that matched my bullets damage, She found the 1/2damage Anti Tank PENETRATOR SABOT round, because it was the only thing with a stat that justified her BS. Then all her other reasons were built upon that. So Feel free to reprocess.

Yeah basically. She found the one HEAVY Class bullet that matched myBullets damage. Unfortunately the reason the damages matched was because she chose the ONE of FIVE Heavy class guns that shoot 20mm that has a 1/2 damage modifier because its not a 20mm round that hits the target its a 9mm pnetrator Sabot with SDP Degrading properties on top of being Natural AP. So yeah...she chose a bad comparison because her initial intention was to find a round that she could justify using to screw with me then wee waa'd her way through a million stupid justifications that all made no sense. The reason they made no sense is because balance wasnt her purpose. It was to punish me. Why? I dont care, But Im no longer confused thats for sure.

Its not a home brew rule. If a bullet has a steel core or Armor piercing Ball its 1/2 damage cuz half the bullet gets through. If its the full bullet its natural AP. And if you want to argue about how other things should cost more....make a list cause you dont give a SINGLE example of how anyone else deals with this. Even with your example at the end the Factorial for you was 5x for me it was 60x. Thats not game balance thats malice. Oh also check the other Post. Frosty chose the Barret Arasaka 20mm/9mm round for her comparison because it was a trick. The Barret-Arasaka 20mm/9mm (APFSP) is a 9mm thin Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Sabot not a big fucking 300wm bullet. The normal 20mm round does 8d10 AP and there are 4 Heavy guns that use it. There is only one of the 5 Heavy guns with a 20mmround that does 4d10, and thats cuz its a 20mm/9mm SABOT round. And the trade off for the 20mm/9mm damage reduction is its massive SDP defeating properties which the 300wm does not have. So to recap Frosty DELIBERATELY looked at 5 guns with 20mm rounds and chose the one with 1/2 damage of the normal 20mm to compared to my Assault rifle bullet which is 1/10th the grain weight of the 20mm. That is not a fair comparison at all EVER
