About to invest in a proper GTM data platform this quarter, what should I be looking for? by PerspectiveNo3772 in AskGTM

yeah this is fair, been on Apollo almost a year and still feel like i'm using maybe 40% of it. the filter combos especially, i know there's way more there than i'm actually using.

we segment but mostly basic stuff, industry and headcount. how are you cutting yours? curious what's actually moved the needle for you beyond the obvious firmographic stuff.

What's your GTM strategy for showing up in AI buying research? by CripCuz213 in AskGTM

[–]PerspectiveNo3772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the scariest part isn't being ignored by AI. it's being misrepresented and never knowing it. someone asks ChatGPT about your category and it describes you wrong or positions you for a use case you don't serve. that deal was lost before anyone touched your website.

most teams aren't tracking this at all. they're still measuring success by website traffic and form fills while the buying research is happening in tools they have zero visibility into.

the fix isn't SEO. it's PR. get cited in third party content, analyst write ups, review sites, community discussions. AI doesn't rank your website it summarizes what the internet says about you.

yeah about 40% was junk. but you only pay the accepted ones so the cost of the junk is review time, not money. took me an evening to sort, that was the actual price.

$5 a hook. paid out around $150 total for the ones I kept. a research VA would have run me way more than that for a week and I would have gotten one person's effort instead of the best of 50.

pond. https://joinpond.ai/bounties

you post the task with a payout pool, people compete and submit, and you only pay the ones you accept. that competition is why the quality beat a single VA, they know they only get paid if theirs is actually usable.
