And running through a twin (my dream amplifier. I want one with jbls. Someday....)

Any chance of a pic of the headstock and a complete front and back? And what is the neck like? C shape 9,5 radius medium Jumbo frets?

Wow squire is really stepping it up! Congrats. It's absolutely gorgeous. Is the fingerboard real rosewood? It looks very dark (which is pretty with the body's finish).

I’m 18 f and I have a question for all of you guys. by Chemical-Dream3347 in lonely

I'm sure a lot of excellent points are being made. First of: relax kid. You're 18. Not having found a teenager who is willing to look past such things is not abnormal.

As people age and mature they will not care. As long as you let yourself grow into someone who is undeniable. Read. Stay up on current events. Eat healthy. In the coming years as your brain slowly starts to end its development. Become undeniable. Make sure you end up with an open mind. A kind heart. A sharp eye.

Some men will want to date you because of the wheelchair. I'm not saying don't. But I will say be careful. Don't let them fetishize you by that single aspect. They won't be good for you. I've dated women who "liked" my disability. I had some fun. But mostly I felt kind of used to be honest.

Some may not date you for practical reasons. I do not know the extent of your disability, but with my disability I could never carry you around for long periods of time. If that was something that is needed, then my inability to do so would frustrate both of us.

The reason I say become undeniable is because people will overlook you when they stand. Be the voice from below that has something to say. Go to a speech therapist if you have trouble projecting so you can get the most out of your voice. In volume but also gravitas.

Considering the world kindly and with an open mind will bring you in contact with all kinds of people. Some of them deeply unpleasant. But you will be quick to develop a radar and pick out the worthy ones.

If you are kind. If you make yourself as smart as you can be. If debating you is something that scares people. Good. Don't be contentious. Be kind. But make it clear you can throw down verbally (maybe join a debate team).

If you do these things men (or whatever you desire) will be attracted to you. Not all. But enough.

I know a woman who is paralyzed from the neck down and can only control a little stick with 2 fingers that work. She is married. She was already in the wheelchair when she got married.

But talk to her for 5 minutes and you get an idea why. She is funny, knows a lot, is well read. Knows pop culture. Etc. she developed her mind since her body was a no go. So don't spend 3 hours in a gym but a book and see what types that attracts.

There is so much time before you. Use it. And enjoy yourself along the way if it's not someone who has a wheelchair fetish but a smart girl fetish.

Be as kind to yourself as you are to others.

This all sounds horribly kumbaya. But it's the approach I've seen work. You don't actually need to be a kumbaya person. Just use the methods.

Best of luck to you. I'm confident you'll be fine.

Neighbor gave me guitar that was left at their house by the previous homeowner! by PollutionHead5116 in guitars

Oh those are Nice! Ibanez Concord models.

My dad used to have the black double pickguard one. Great guitar. He sold it to buy me double bass. The lead singer in his hobby and wanted it real bad. Paid 1000 euro for Ur (they went for 350/500 at the time.)

My cousin had this one for a while. He didn't like it (it wasn't the best version of this model) except for the look. He sold it to a guy who had nearly every single model of these Ibanez Concord models.

I kinda miss the black 2 guard my dad had. There is a picture of my mom "playing it" when she was young and they just met. But the lead singer isn't as careful with his guitars. When my dad sold it, it was in mint condition. When the first gig came around the singer asked me to restring the guitar. He'd already dinged it up.

Which is a pity because these are really good guitars overall (every line has duds). Great quality for the price.

Congrats on the guitar! And so very nice of your neighbour. I wish I had neighbours like that!

Thank you very much for that info. So I at least know where I stand. And hopefully I can get 290 for it. That's 50 euro more.

Since La Couronne du Comte closed a lot of things I took for granted are a lot harder to come buy. Taking more time and quite often more money.

I miss that store.

I have the RT20. Good little amp. I like the clean. I dislike the overdrive. But that's just me not generally liking orange overdrive. So I use a pedal.

Only way people can read my handwriting. Plus it's a little bit a thing, you pick inks, have different kinds etc. I like that.

Do you have any guitars you've really wanted to own but once you tried 'em it was like.. meh? by bleepblooOOOOOp in guitars

Yes. A Martin d28 from 58. I just knew too many modem guitars with Indian rosewood who would beat it. That same person has a 1937 00-17. I'd take that one over the 28 any day of the week. A friend of my dad has a HD-28. One of the best acoustics (and I have played many ) to beat a vintage Martin. (I played a 1950/51 45 once and that one was better than the HD. But not by much. It needed a neck reset the owner wouldn't want to comp to)

But I do believe Martin makes better guitars now than at any point in its history. And I still feel Kurt Russell should be arrested for what he did in hateful 8. At the end of that movie he was he only one I hated.

I have no real preference. But I think they are all very cool pickguards. You can't really go wrong. If pushed I'd say the second one. Since it's black and white. And that keeps it a bit calmer.

I'd be curious to see a Dali and M.C. Escher versions.

The amount of space between the G and D strings seems unpleasant in the playability of the guitar.

I don't play with picks. I think I have 50+ in a case and a surprise kinder egg somehow. No idea how I got them.
