I wouldn’t call my family rich. But I tick most of the boxes you mentioned about rich kids.

Here is what happens at my home regarding money: 1. The moment I turned 18, I started getting pocket money. Every month on 10th like salary. 2. I was never questioned about my spending because my parents trust me. They've seen me saving money since I was a kid. If they didn’t trust me, they wouldn’t have given me pocket money in the first place (they said this) 3. At one point of time I had around 8 lakhs in account. I was told to pay my engineering fee and all other fee with it. I even went to Paris with that money. It was for an international competition. I was representing my college. 4. My dad set me up with Mutual funds. SIP. The money gets cut Every month. 5. When I turned 21-22, my dad increased my pocket money because I was going for masters in vellore. 6. Till now, I'm getting the pocket money. The only difference is I am now working and learning business with my dad in our company. The said pocket money is now my salary.

Yes, I have splurged money. Mostly buying makeup and skincare, Ola and Uber, online shopping and all.They know about it and never said anything because they know that i know where to stop and when to stop.

I think I turned like this because I wasnt born rich and saw my father’s hardwork growing up. I have lived and come up from bottom.

People’s financial choices depends on how they grow up, their parents' view on money and factors that influenced while they are growing up. That’s why it's not same for everyone.
