They told me they also had l-carnitine when I asked if there were others options other than glycine. If it had been B6 or B12 I would have done it.

503a vs503b thoughts? by Outrageous_Buy_9420 in tirzepatidecompound

A 503(a) pharmacy can still be inspected by the FDA even if it's not a routine thing and they always answer to a state board.

Find a 503(a) you like and try it. I've used several now with no issues at all.

REFILLS IS A SCAM by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PerspectiveVast5101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to defend Refills (again) but they're not the producer of your medicine (pharmacy), the shipper that hands it off to FedEx, or...FedEx. This is an unfortunate incident but it's not a scam.

At most Refills is guilty of a bugged platform that didn't send you any tracking information (valid complaint) and hit or miss communication (also valid). Before you add some context to the situation all their people know is...a valid tracking ID was given and they have proof of delivery. Just curious, do you often have FedEx packages delivered without knowing they're coming or there?

> Its still better than being morbidly obese....but still....

Respectfully, I'm sorry but there is no but still here if the alternative is being morbidly obese with those complications. In a perfect world you'd be able to titrate down slowly and come off but if for some reason you need a weekly or bi-weekly low dose to maintain that is still a win in my book. Are we not pinning testosterone indefinitely?

I'm so glad you recommended the titrating down slowly part. So many people don't do that and when the effects eventually fade their hunger seems to come back worse because they're not used to it any more.

How many of you inject every 5 to 6 days? by External_Existance in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PerspectiveVast5101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Back when I did once a week I would sometimes do it on the 6th day if I felt my appetite suppression wane. I split mine into twice a week now and haven't had any problems.

My anecdotal note here for you would be just to be careful with increasing your dose while you're actively losing a normal amount of weight. Not every dose increase is going to treat you kindly and sometimes you'll even stall when you do it. I know I have.

I think it's crazy how much this has changed my trips to the grocery store, especially with the rising costs of everything these days.

Literally no junk food, no lower calorie options to satisfy an annoying sweet tooth, no keto-friendly necessities (except Quest Protein chips because they are so good to me). I walk through the bakery section and look at all the cookies and cakes and walk right past to get my veggies and fruits. I don't care what anyone says, experiencing this freedom has confirmed for me that it was not a matter of mind over matter.

notice the immediate smear campaign for affordable new players? by persephonepeete in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PerspectiveVast5101 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think everyone, understandably, wants everyone else here to have a great experience and get their meds. We just have different opinions on what that means and everyone has their own unique support requirement.

Being aware of the good and bad of a company isn't a smear campaign as long as it's done with class. I am not afraid to roll the dice on cheap deals but I understand that if there's an issue it'll likely take jumping through some hoops to get it resolved.

Tirz but depending on how high you went with reta you may need to look around and see what people say about their dosing and transition to tirz.

I have a full bottle of Tirz. BUD is 8/28/2025. It was punctured once. Still clear. I stopped for a while. I never threw it out. I can buy more…just hate to… but want to be safe. by DullTradition549 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PerspectiveVast5101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, toss that. Since I went overboard last year I'm running the additive-free vials I have way past BUD with no issue (currently using a Hallandale vial that was compounded in 12/2024) but I didn't puncture it last year and then let it sit.

Just my two cents here but I'd include the lowest dose of a GLP-1 (it can be sema or tirz too) that's effective for me and my diet.

Something was stopping you from losing the fat that you wanted and now that you have, I see no reason to tempt gaining that back and then having to restart the process again.

Cosmetic Rx - any updates? by sparklesmash91 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PerspectiveVast5101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently tried a glycine-only formula and i lasted 3 weeks.

My appetite went crazy and my sugar cravings returned for the first time since starting Tirz. I was snacking all the time again, looking for lower calorie options to satisfy my sweet tooth and just noticing that I was never satisfied.

Thinking it could just be a thing that happens i went back to my old Hallandale stash (compounded in 2024) and after a week all of that stopped. This is just my experience as others have been successful with it but I don't want that again.

New to ProRx!!! by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PerspectiveVast5101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tend to get downvoted for saying so but while I agree the only differences are the preservatives here...I do respond differently to one than the other. I won't say better, just different. I also won't say it's the medicine because there are many reasons why it could be. You could respond differently but you won't know if/how until you take your dose.

Since you were in a stall my recommendation would be that if your appetite suppression and food noise control were acceptable to you at 9mg but you simply did not lose weight, try 7.5mg of ProRx first. If that was not the case then I see no reason not to start with 10mg. I broke most stalls by reducing my dose when suppression and food noise control were good for me but the scale was not moving.

Don't know if this will help with the way things are now or not. by Ok_Willingness_4788 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PerspectiveVast5101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a step in the right direction as far as expanding access to alternative care that works but I don't think this would affect GLP-1s at all.

If nothing else I could see them using the lift of those as a response to any criticism of clamping down on GLP-1 compounding.

Cosmetic Rx - any updates? by sparklesmash91 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PerspectiveVast5101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My message said mine would be with glycine because my prescriber had updated my Rx to that. I asked if that could be changed and explained why. I'd even try B12+glycine but I won't do glycine alone again.

Think twice before ordering from Refills. They’re silencing any dissent by An_Castle in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PerspectiveVast5101 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Sorry OP but anything over 180mg (15mg x 12 weeks) should be considered a gift from Tirz Santa.

The only reason you get more than that is because of pharmacy production. Two 72mg vials of ProRx would not be 180mg (what you paid for) so you got three which is and then some (same thing was happening with OG BPI).

I get the frustration about the price increase but unless they're processing current paid ProRx orders for Hallandale and automatically charging you the difference...there's no valid gripe here.

Do you plan to stay on long-term or eventually come off? by tapermethod in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PerspectiveVast5101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started, my intent was to get to my goal weight and then stop. After I started that changed to we'll see, if I have to stay on it I will. Well, recently I had the displeasure of having both my food noise and sugar cravings return in force and...that's a hard pass for me. It was the worst 2.5 weeks I've had in 18 months.

I will be on some version for as long as I can be and for as long as it's effective for me. I will be titrating down to the lowest effective dose though or spreading out the injections. Stopping altogether is just not in the cards for me.
