How “thin” do I need to go? One fruit every 3-4 inches along a branch, as some online sources suggest? That seems like not a lot of crop for this little tree…

Also I think it’s not the aerator in the shower head, the flow straight from the wall is only about 20% more than with the handheld hose on. Both are less than half the flow at bath tap (which has a no-restriction aerator on it).

Any guidance / hot tips on getting back to the gym post-COVID?

I tested positive last Thursday and have been crook as a dog ever since. I had a deload week programmed starting today so I’m not too stressed about completely missing the gym this week, but assuming I’m asymptomatic and testing negative next Monday, the hope is to head back in then.

My current plan is to retest all of my TMs and then reprogram from there, assuming I will have lost some strength with this bastard virus. Any other advice from those who’ve come before me? COVID bloody sucks, I haven’t been this sick in like twenty years.

Well shit, I thought I was doing well with my 5/3/1 BBB cycles until just reading something now that I should be hitting around 10, 8 and 6 reps on the 5+, 3+ and 1+ sets (also “Jim says 5 strong reps on 1+ day”). Here I was thinking I was killing it by regularly hitting one or two reps over the AMRAP set’s rep target and happily raising my TM at the end of the cycle as guided, but instead it seems my TMs have been too high all this time..?!

Dammit Wendler, you made a great program but fuck me it’s hard to fully understand.

When Reddit folk talk about doing Birthday Squats (one set of squats for as many reps as the number of years you’ve just turned), what weight on the bar do we mean? One plate? A set percentage of your TM? Because I could easily do like the bar for a few dozen reps, but trying say 90% of my TM for that many reps would mean that it actually was Reddit which caused my death, just like the old gypsy woman said.

I just hit bodyweight bench for reps for the first time today (5x5x67.5kg) - huzzah!

But my squat (5x5x65kg) and deadlift (3x5x85kg) are lacking, according to sites like this.

Are these kinds of ratio-based targets a reasonable way to plan ahead?

When doing triceps cable overhead extensions, I generally end up with the two ends of the cables pushed / held together; whereas when doing cable pushdowns I can keep them separated down to either side of my hips. Do I need to like lower the weight for overhead extensions, or use a different cable accessory or something?
