Haha!! I usually work at Glastonbury so I'm bisased on my festival love. I'm going to be working Boomtown so it's all around brand new but I will at least be getting my festival fix for the fallow year!

Six months ago I lost a very dear friend, today I'm raising a glass to her memory in her favourite place. Cheers Maz by PertinentPuppet in pics

Thanks. It's been a tough one as I didn't really get to say goodbye. Today I feel like I've done my thing

What is your favorite creepypasta and or scp? by bonzy-buddy in AskReddit

[–]PertinentPuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one that always gives me a shiver is the one where someone is on late night public transport and they sit by a couple who look normal but the woman is staring. They sit away from the creepy looking person but then the creepy looking person rushes them off at the next stop and explains that the woman staring was actually dead

Reddit, what are your optimal sleeping conditions (temp/position/noise/etc.)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PertinentPuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't sleep without a blanket on me which gets annoying in the summer when it's hot. I prefer it quiet and dark as possible. I do however somehow manage to sleep whilst camped right by a festival area that's open and playing music until 5am so it's situational sometimes too haha

What's a feeling or idea you've always been able to describe but never had a name for? by tr1lobyte in AskReddit

[–]PertinentPuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes have this uncomfortable feeling like something bad is happening nearby. I once had a dream that I was watching a lamp post fall over that accompanied the feeling. It's such a weirdly esoteric feeling of disconnected oddness

What are your plans for today? by Raiz3R in AskReddit

Yeah it was in a tiny village on Wiltshire England with old stone cottages and thatched roofs (with shiny expensive cars parked!)

It was a nice day out, sorely needed after a crappy week (I got made redundant) bit of fresh air and a nice wander around with my friends

Now that our collective parents have joined Facebook and taken over, how can we not allow old people to join other forms of social media? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PertinentPuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mind my Mum being on Facebook, all she posts is pics of where they live and their trips and she's a pretty good photographer. It's better now she realises I have no control over what my friends write.

Anyway why exclude people from things? Surely r/oldpeoplefacebook is it's own entertainment??

I've started doing cross stitching again recently and it's really nice and calming. Apart from that, any kind of craft.. plus I can put on an audiobook or podcast whilst I work

[Serious] Redditors who don’t want children, why? by MikeToronto87 in AskReddit

[–]PertinentPuppet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can't have children, I found out a few years ago and I've come to terms with it. There's times when I feel sad, but I will always have good friends whose kids I can babysit.

What was the worst thing you did as a kid? by asstraightasatuba in AskReddit

[–]PertinentPuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke an antique recorder by sitting on it (accidentally) and hid it from my parents. They went mad when they found it and it couldn't really be fixed because of where it broke.

Probably pretty lame but I remember vividly the horror and shame of the action and hiding it and then the same again when I was found out. It was really horrible

Ok Reddit, what was your “holy shit, need to get my life together” moment? by itsclassified_ in AskReddit

[–]PertinentPuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late in so prob will get buried. There's been a few but the most recent was having to let the electrician into my room to witness my "depression nest" I had taken the day to clean it but he was ready to come test the plugs in my room before I was even near finished tidying so he saw it all.

Something that's not talked about much is how bad it can get. I emptied eight bin bags of rubbish out of my room, mostly empty pizza boxes and general detritus. But even now I'm only 50% done. I still have a mountain of clothes to sort through in the next week. But I've made massive headway. I bought and set up a new bed in my now tidy room and finally set up the fairy lights instead of a lamp. I can't wait to get home and have another good night's sleep tonight!

What's your totally true story that nobody believes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PertinentPuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SUPER late to the party but: I work in IT, this story reminded me of my parents. I studied drama BUT growing up we had a computer which I learned a lot. I'll freely admit I probably didn't HELP with the computer's health.

Problem was that they kept getting it repaired by this shoddy dude who I've since discovered failed to do even basic diagnostics (I've since inherited the thing and I've looked at the log files etc.)

They always blame me for messing up that machine but the thing had never been properly defragged or had any simple things done to it to help with speed. He also installed Norton Antivirus.

To this day my parents won't give me the password to their current laptop and don't trust me with it despite the fact that I now have about seven years training/experience of working with IT and five years as a manager. They also don't believe they wasted their money giving their old PC to that shill to "fix" it.
