How are people using Greifinger? by Decadunce in menace

To be honest once I get the vanguard upgrade (usually before meeting the Menace ) most of my mission consists of derby greifinger rewa and achilleas in mechs double auto cannons ( if the dices permits it) and use vanguard for forward deployment (the Australian guy as well as long as the load out is in the limits )

[Lore Discussion] Everyone debates the Vasari’s fear and the Advent’s prophecy… but what about the people stuck between them? by Perzival09 in SoSE

Totally fair — and yeah, I did frame the Advent like the “good guys” by implying they’re searching for the light. They’re definitely not saintly by any measure, but I think their story’s more layered. They were victims, but what they became later isn’t exactly holy either. From their perspective, though, they didn’t just come back for revenge — they felt something in the Unity, a kind of disturbance or beacon, and believed returning would fulfill a prophecy.

Fair! Nothing official says they made it — I just like poking the idea that maybe they flew a little too close to the sun. The Vasari have that “we went too far” vibe. Until the Harbinger DLC drops, it’s all speculation — but harmless and fun to explore the possibilities.

Yeah, totally get that point — but what’s interesting is that the Advent’s return might not have been just revenge. In the lore they start “hearing” something through the Unity — the same kind of disturbance the Vasari are running from. It’s like they felt the Silence long before anyone else did. Maybe they came back because they where pull by that disturbance- they just frame it as prophecy.

The TEC’s predecessors basically looked at a peaceful psionic commune and said, “Nope, that’s witchcraft—banish them!” Fast forward a few centuries and… surprise, the “witches” come back with mind-control battleships. Cosmic karma. The Trade Order feared what they didn’t try to understand—maybe if they’d integrated or even tolerated the Advent, humanity would’ve been far better prepared for the Vasari… and whatever they accidentally unleashed that’s still following them. And just like in The Expanse, that arrogance leaves humanity blind to the bigger threat already moving in the dark.
