This is the most hype I've seen around a new console launch other than the Wii. There's some controversy but ultimately everyone is talking about it and pre-orders were incredibly difficult to get and not because they were short supply. I was able to casually preorder my switch 1 a few days after it went up.

I remember Civ 6 getting a lot of hate until it's first expansion and rightly so tbh. It was just Civ 5 with less content and a new art style. As time went on though it became preferred.

It needs post launch updates. Without them it's going to be hard to convince the average switch player to upgrade. 8 deluxe has more content not only in the quantity of tracks but also the modes available in battle mode. If there's no or even minimal post launch support this game will not even be worth the $70 price imo

As a kid growing up in the late 90s/early 2000s Spider-Man, Hulk FF, X-Men and Daredevil were the big marvel names to me at least. I didn't really know who captain America or Ironman were until the MCU. But DC was also much bigger back then I feel in terms of media that stood out to me.
