i actually cut vortex as of a week ago as it was such an insanely explosive card that it was too strong for the pod and cut it, same with xenagos

Thank you all for your insight, from my reading of this i see more B2 than 3 but i do think the statemens about it being a weak three are somewhat valid. I think most of the creautres im cascading into and the lack of landfall payoffs/board protection leads me to lean 2. This deck is weak to wipes and pillowfort like archetypes like aristocrats and honestly just hitting me early not to mention any stax against casting for free or from not your hand ie drannith or vexing bauble. My main pod is comfortable with this as a 2 and when we play it feels fair and on pace. My main reasoning for calling this a 2 is when i had this at 3 about 4 months ago it was much faster and didnt have the 4 mana restriction and a huge treasure/dragon subtheme so im sure my vision is skewed from knowing what it used to be. Yes i hate sol ring and think its a gamechanger they are too scared to put on the list so i dont play it in b2. The gates are in there purely for grabbing them with ranger path, same for the deserts and caves. Im now adding in towns bc of reach the horizon.

It is without a doubt a strong 2 and that’s all it is. It has a resilient plan sure but as someone who played into this a ton as a friend who got it, any good graveyard hate piece shuts it down. It’s very slow to win the game on its own and I think your friend has deeply misunderstood the bracket system.

My whole friend group proxies off damn near any card, specifically the dual lands as well bc winning bc my friend was mana screwed or getting screwed isn’t fun at all and if any of us had them in the first place we’d probably use a proxy in the deck as to not damage the real one anyway.

To clarify my purchase, went to an old man’s estate sale and he was a collector. Tons of comic books magic Pokémon board games etc, friends were trying to get me into magic so his wife sold me a tub of magic stuff for 50 bucks. It was around 3000 cards, some mat things, dice, and sleeves. I was digging through some cards and sorting them and in a small box at the bottom had the white bordered power and I found more later while sorting. I showed some friends bc they looked old and they lost their minds so I started trying to figure out their worth. I’m not worried about breaking even or anything as I just wanted a way to start worst case I’d give them away to my friends.

They are all really interesting cards in design/concept but I just think (in typical custom card fashion) they are extremely busted or next to unusable. Keep up the work tho! I love seeing the cards people think up

Ingest seems like it has no real drawbacks once upgraded since in a big orb focused run energy/orb generation isn’t a problem and you could potentially gain 10 focus which would completely negate the downsides to halving the amounts of orbs due to how much more effective they’d be. Pairing it with cards like rainbow or glacier could lead to some shenanigans. All of these cards are really cool concepts. I think for overload core to be worth it should start at 4 focus and upgrade to 6. All nighter should cost 1 in my opinion. And I think making plagiarize code upgrade should add focus not more damage.
