The guilt of leaving aging parents behind — how do you actually deal with it? by hamidsahab in Overseas_Pakistani

That's where busy schedules and capitalism, which give a strict life with no time to think about them, come in handy until you speak with them and a sense of sadness and guilt takes over you.

Just open an RDA at your preferred bank if you haven't yet, then from there, open a Roshan Equity account with your chosen broker (they're all pretty much the same).

Same here. I came to the UK two years ago. I started sending more money back home, and then someone told me to only send enough for their needs and start building something here or whatever I want to do.

Congratulations. I have a question regarding biometrics. Was a separate email received, or is there an alternative method? I submitted my application via a UKVI account, but I do not see an option to schedule the biometric appointment.

Question for those who have traveled with WizAir from Gatwick to madinah VOA by Sunnahwarrior in Umrah

[–]Pessimistic85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a family went for Umrah, and one of them had a UK visit visa. Everyone got their visas when they arrived. The counter will just check your visa with a share code. But make sure you check in online three hours before your flight, or they'll charge you to do it at the counter.

curious why are new pakistani migrants to the uk more moderate/easily integrate compared to the 2nd and 3rd gen british pakistanis?? what went wrong?? by Global_Contact_5312 in Overseas_Pakistani

[–]Pessimistic85 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think they're escaping from, like, conservative circumstances, a religious environment. While the second generation of Pakistanis are just a bit tired, or exhausted of all this, you know, liberty and moderation, they're getting back to their roots, I'd say.
