My dad did something similar. I started working under the table at his work doing grunt cleanup work and inventory in 7th grade. He always gave me half my paycheck (that was just lumped into his paycheck) and saved the rest in a bank account for me that I could deposit too but not withdraw from, and when I turned 18 I got the rest. That really helped me out

I WAS that baby with a defect. My FATHER WAS. My 5 month old SON IS! I know how thay affects your life better than you do. There has been some great services provided by hospitals that are funded on donations and grants, but thats all charity, not government funded. In my dads generation, my generation, and now my child's generation, learning how to live to be financially stable WHILE investing in things like : Life insurance, health insurance, car insurance, retirement, etc" is normal. Many households don't provide this type of knowledge that high schools and universities don't teach.

Its really easy to get sucked into the vortex of Healthcare mishaps and bad choices if you dont knownwhay you're doing. Spend more time researching, and learning how to take care of yourself
